The Responsible (R)evolution Manifesto (The New & Improved Punk)

People aren't consumers, they are people - to be revered and empowered.

People comprise organizations and institutions - the time has come to shift the mentality from monopolizing greed to doing good.

Branding means nothing in a day and age in which human and natural resources are in limited supply, and human capital is being greatly compromised by our political leaders and corporate icons.

Advertising is a racket, like the stock market. Real brands build communities based on informational utility, trust and human-centered design.

Business must return to a place whereby culture and commerce are aligned altruistically and authentically.

Commerce is about sharing, not selling.

Doing good is the most profitable and sustainable thing any company can do - it's about being "heart smart".

Being smart means taking responsibility for ourselves and each other - acting from a place of love and empathy, and embracing our mistakes and adversities in all of their messiness. That's punk.

While individuality is the hallmark of creative expression, we are all One.

This is a great bit of press on an exciting new startup that +Tomas Forgac recently founded, that +Jon Samsel and I are advising. We hope to not only help disrupt the future of payments, but to create a system for measuring direct and latent value within a network exchange.
