We are moving steadily out of the summer season, which means that your air conditioner has already done the bulk of the work that it will have to for the year. That also means that you've undoubtedly paid a few electric bills overlapping with your AC use.

If you think that you don’t need an attic fan because you don’t hang out in your attic, you’re thinking about the situation all wrong. No, your attic fan is not designed to help keep your attic comfortable. Instead, it is there to take some of the strain off of your home cooling system.

Ceiling fans are very useful when trying to cool your home down efficiently, as they help to circulate the air cooled by your AC throughout the house while using less electricity than your air conditioner does. This is not the only type of fan that you should be utilizing in your home, though.

We're nearing the end of the summer season, whether you are ready to let go of the warm weather or not. That has many homeowners looking forward to the colder time of the year, and really taking stock of the condition that their heaters are in.

On our most recent blog post, we discuss a question we get asked often: "Is it too early to schedule a heating maintenance?". Discover more: http://ow.ly/wQ5E3037HLE
We are in the thick of the summer season, still, which is obvious the moment that you step out of your air conditioned home. It's going to be a bit before we're ready to switch over to our home heating systems once more.

Standby energy loss occurs when the heat in the water within a hot water tank transfers out through that tank and into the air surrounding it.

With energy costs being what they are, and more and more homeowners "going green," energy efficiency seems to be a bigger issue by the day. That is precisely why so many people are inquiring about factors like standby energy loss when shopping for appliances.

We don't have the most intense summer heat in the country around here, but that doesn't mean that you can hope to make it through the cooling season comfortably without a good air conditioner in place. If you're serious about living in the environment that you deserve, a great AC is a must.

G&S have been my go to company for years. My parents contracted with them when I was little, and when it came time for a heating/cooling company to use on my own, I continued to use them for the last 5 years. Respectable, dependable, true to their word and always great service reps who make you feel like you've known them for years. Really appreciate what they do!

G&S is a great Company to work with. They call me when my furnace and heat pump needs to be serviced. And their service techs always make recommendations to enhance the performance of my equipment. I always recommend them to my neighbors. They are A plus in my book!

We had a 50 year old furnace replaced which meant there were wiring problems. They handled everything promptly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

I've used G&S Heating for over 18 years now. They've always been prompt and have done quality work. And what's most important....when I've had an emergency, they've fixed it as quickly as possible. Gail Vermeulen

Great outfit. No pressure, nice people, from the office to the installer and the service guy. Nate, my sales rep, was laid back, knowledgeable about the equipment and always answered my e-mails in a respectful and timely manner. The price was right as well. Thanks G&S....

Our old furnace died on Christmas Day, 2015. We got bids from several companies but settled on G&S Heating & Electric. They were very thorough in explaining all the features and benefits of the heat pump system we were considering. Selecting an installer endorsed by Costco and a system approved by PUD of Snohomish County afforded us several rebates and credits that brought the price down. And they had a solid reputation and a number of excellent reviews on Yelp and other review services. After G&S installed the system (in one day), the installation supervisor inspected it and saw that he had provided an incorrect measurement on the connector between the air handler and the existing ductwork and they had the error corrected in two days, at no cost to us, of course. Another problem involved the fan coming on for about a minute every 20 minutes occasionally. It took several service calls and working with the manufacturer, Lennox, but the problem has been resolved. We love the system and our heating bill has been reduced dramatically over what we were paying with our old forced air electric system. We are very satisfied customers and would recommend G&S Heating and Electric, Inc. to anyone.

I'm a contractor, I've used G&S several times to service and repair furnaces in homes I'm working on, I've also referred them to my clients. I'm pleased with their service and the rates seem reasonable to me.
