I am pleased (and somewhat embarrassed) to release python-fedex 1.1.0! Pleased in that these changes have been patiently waiting for PyPi for a few years now, embarrassed in that I’ve let the project sit since I stopped using it more than five years ago. Let’s re-visit ...

python-colormath 2.1.0 has landed, bringing with it some excellent new features and bug fixes. See the release notes for a more detailed look at the changes. The headlining feature is the replacement of our hardcoded conversion tables with NetworkX-based resolution of color conversions (courtesy, Michael Mauderer). Color ...

As covered in a previous post, I’ve been tinkering with a Python implementation of the fledgling Gotalk. Since this has been fun to play with, I figured it’d be worth sharing where python-gotalk is, and what has happened with it in the last two weeks. Upstream gotalk progress ...

EVE Market Data Relay (EMDR) has been chugging along behind the scenes in the EVE Online developer community, quietly delivering large volumes of player-supplied market data. But the winds of change are arriving, as CCP has released a set of HTTP APIs for obtaining much of the data directly. EMDR ...

The gym experience itself was OK, but the nightmare started when I went to cancel. I was on a monthly plan and was told that there was a 30-day notice required for cancellation. Without even going into the rationale for such a customer-hostile policy, they have been unable to furnish a signed copy of our membership agreement that has this clause on it. My wife and I were early customers of the gym, and I'm not sure this policy was in place at the time we signed our agreement. However, I haven't been able to get Archie or Chanel to send the agreement our way, and they have drafted the full amount of the fee from my account after ignoring me for a week. This is a risky place to do business with, and I hate that I have to now share this publicly, but it should not be this difficult to cancel a gym membership. Consider looking elsewhere.

As of this review's time of writing, this is a newer store. It's clean and the staff are very friendly. I go here often on lunch breaks, and am in and out quick.

Every time I rolled the can out to the curb the night before pickup day, there was a good chance I'd still find it full the next night. This got to be so frequent that I had to switch to another sanitation service. Would not recommend. I called in the misses every time they happened (like they asked me to), but it never got better.

I got a wicked bad case of food poisoning from Rainbow Garden in 2011. Called them and told them that something was wrong over there, and they just blew me off. While this was some time ago, I didn't even think to share this until I heard someone talking about this restaurant recently. Things may have improved since then, just be really careful! Update: 2/8/2013 - After sharing this experience on here, I got an email from one of the people at Rainbow Garden basically saying there was no way it was their fault. They then went on to tell me all the ways I could have made myself get food poisoning without it being their fault. They said what I wrote here wasn't "fair".

My wife and I aren't quiet ready to purchase road bikes of our own, so we've been going here for a few weeks to rent theirs. We go two or so times a week as cross-training, and they've been really good to us so far. The staff is willing to answer questions and they have been nice about letting me rent for an hour close to closing time (I get off of work late). I couldn't tell you about the rest of their services or the quality of their inventory, but the rentals are in great shape and are very serviceable for part-time cyclists like us.

I haven't been here personally or had them do any work, but they were very rude and unhelpful on the phone the two times I've called up. I understand it's hard to talk price ranges without seeing the carb in question, but I do expect that you can give me a very rough, wide range of typical rebuilds (from terrible by salvageable condition to very straightforward). Anybody asking for such a rough ballpark figure isn't looking for something on the nose, I just don't want to bother sending my carb in if you're going to get it and tell me "That'll be $700".

Love that they have ethanol-free gas. Only knock is that you have to go inside and prepay, there's no pay at the pump. Friendly people, though. Also open until 10pm on Sundays.
