"This means that each of 100,000 servers can communicate with one another in an arbitrary pattern at 10Gb/s."

That has always been my favorite property of our datacenters.  You design much different software when your servers all talk to each other at such incredible rates.
Yesterday we published more details on the past decade of our cluster networking work, with lots of pictures (see article below).  For the technical details see this blog post: http://googleresearch.blogspot.com/2015/08/pulling-back-curtain-on-googles-network.html and for the gory details this SIGCOMM paper: http://static.googleusercontent.com/media/research.google.com/en//pubs/archive/43837.pdf.

"A trade group for the nation’s airlines rejects the study’s conclusions, saying, 'It would be difficult to find an industry that is more transparent than airlines in their pricing.'"

This place makes popsicles from the teas sold by +Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea. The "tart and fruity" made with the King Crimson rooibos tea may be my new favorite thing.

In a quest to try each of the 8 new iced coffee drinks featured in +Time Out Chicago (http://goo.gl/oSAB4i), I started with the Nitro Iced Coffee at +Ipsento.  It's one of my favorite coffee shops, so my hopes were high.  While the bubbles looked nice and it seemed to have a bit more body for the first few sips, the whole effect wore off pretty quickly.  It turned into iced coffee that was OK, but just a bit too bitter.

If you're going to Ipsento and want something cold, get the iced Ipsento.  It's completely different (milk, coconut milk, honey, cayenne pepper and espresso), but far more delicious.  If you want iced coffee, stick with +Intelligentsia Coffee and Tea.
