We have a new internship position open, for fall 2016. For practical reasons, it is open only to persons studying in France. You would be working on our KernelCI.org board farm, and on generating cross-compilation toolchains with Buildroot. All that in our office in Toulouse, France, with our team of 7 engineers which include numerous embedded Linux and Linux kernel experts.

See http://free-electrons.com/fr/blog/stage-automne-2016/ for all the details.

The video of the talk at ELCE located at Dublin are now available. Before giving my talk I feared that it would be too short but finally it seems to be the longest talk (f we exclude the ones which were schedule for two slots)!

I have just finish my talk "Kernel Maintainership: An Oral Tradition" at ELCE.
It was my first non technical talk. Usually I speak about kernel frameworks, boot time and stuff like this. This time there was no line of code at all in the slides. Also with only 25 slides I feared finishing too early, but eventually the talk was 70 min long!(included 15 min of questions). As it was done just before the lunch break, doing 20 extra minutes was not an issue. Now I can enjoy the conference :)

Free Electrons is offering one free seat for its upcoming Android system development training session in Toulouse! See http://free-electrons.com/blog/free-seat-in-android-training-session2016/.

If you're a student, or a contributor to open-source project (even with modest contributions), you can apply, and win a seat for our 4-day Android training session. You get the training session itself (lunch included) and go away with a BeagleBoneBlack and its LCD screen that is used for the practical labs of the training. And you have the chance of being trained by Free Electrons engineer +Maxime Ripard !

Embedded Linux Conference schedule, several talks from Free Electrons

There will be more than only drones, IoT and automotive. The good old low-level topics will be there too.
