This is a brilliant post from +David Armano. Honestly, most of his posts are brilliant so go subscribe to his blog and don't rely on me for commentary on future posts. It's worth your time...especially for those social media practitioners in the corporate space.

For general use I think Apple Maps is just fine. The minute you need local search though it tends to fall apart just a bit. This has everything to do with data sources and I'm sure the gap is being closed actively.

The interest graph is alive and well.  It's a core part of how Twitter is going to accelerate their revenue model.

This is the most intelligent article I have read yet about Facebook's Graph Search.  Well done +Rawn Shah.  Well done.

I agree - though as an employer I believe that I would not expose my employee lists to any type of public graph search if at all possible. That means I'd likely not use Facebook for anything business oriented (groups) since it would then require my employees to have active Facebook accounts and possibly fill in additional duties about their job function that would assist the lazy recruiters.

I have nothing against employees using Facebook I just don' think I'd feed it data by using business related groups or other services offered by FB.

There are lots of angles you can take when writing about the changes Twitter has made that impact 3rd party clients.  Me?  I believe it's mostly about controlling their own destiny and at the tactical level there are a few things website owners / publishers should be doing to make sure future Twitter changes do not have a huge impact.

If you post to Facebook and nobody sees it, did you really post to Facebook?

What has college football taught me about social media? Show empathy and make sure you have a plan when that big loss happens.
