A midwest badass production: How To Kill A Guardian

About  261-150 days ago +brian sligowski  decided to do his guardian the highest honor and have it killed for all the best reasons -- A BAF of significant size.

The second anchor was selected, because Washington island is pretty, remote, has a bar that serves bitters, really fantastic maple syrup, scenic Icelandic style churches. (Mostly the bitters bar guided the selection.)

The third anchor, Ogallala, NE was selected because the strong blue community there, the city is called the “cowboy capital” which makes perfect sense for a resistance operation!  It also was an exceptionally fun name to say on Intel.   Holiday travel afforded easy key movements, and so the plan was locked into place.

Because the plan was solidly in motion, when the GLOBAL MU portion of the #ABADDON   Anomaly was announced, it became clear that that this would be an amazing opportunity to move the number, and contribute to the anomaly in a significant way.  This part of the anomaly battle guided the selection of the 12/10 11pm checkpoint target.

With the target right around the corner, agents were lined up, along the whole lane, and trouble spots were identified, and the team arranged and schedules were cleared, travelers were contacted to build rails and decimate green froggy tangles repeatedly. One agent drove 300 miles just to provide coverage in an area in case a blocker would pop up!
All the Zello, Hangout, Slack, Telegram, GroupMe, MyTeam and Yo channels began to light up like a Christmas tree as the target marched closer and closer!  A veritable list of problem frogs was created, and all the ‘problem blockers’ had been dispatched.

The Washington Island team rolled up into place, and got on the boat, and enjoyed a good many cheesy snacks while lining up link orders, making sure all details were in order and hearing the good news that all the agents were in place and standing by for the magic moment where skill meets luck and fields are created!

The lake was blocked again, to some silly naval base, and +Jake Broo  was in the middle of his +Behind The Scanner  interview and rushed out the door, to clear them!
The final blue blocks were jarvised and the froggy tangles were beaten down again and one block in WI was left as one frog made valiant effort to rescue Brian’s guardians by stopping the creation of the field. Amazing smurfs came out of the woodwork, cleared the final block.  By 10:30 the first field was up, and the process of layering was kicked into high gear.  At one point the scanner could not handle the draw of the curvy earth, and looked like the link would cross, but wouldn’t (because science!)

The Ogallala smurfs finished jarvising and rebuilding their city to prepare for more layers, when three local frogs hopped up on the map!  The battle ensued on the ground in Nebraska while the checkpoint passed with 10 layers up for 17.5mil MU per layer.    The Washington Island team still had 12 more layers to throw, and on the last 5 layers, Intel identified some mini blockers in Gary, Indiana and dispatched agents (flat tires were fixed!) to the scene and the rest of the layers were thrown from Washington Island and ghosted through the night, protecting the minds of all humanity as the jubilant agents drank their bitters.
27 layers
17.5M mu a layer
472.5M mu total
4 New onyx Illuminator badges ( nickchiro, drelwinrandom, waylah, and princessluna1 )

Thanks to all the agents that help make this happen (in no particular order)

For those who were in my circles and are being circled again by me, I'm switching over from my gmail profile to my Google Apps account profile. When Google+ first started it wasn't available to apps users which meant a lot of extra logging in and out of Google accounts when using e-mail and Google+ on the same computer.

Google added apps account support some time ago, but I haven't gotten around to fully making the switch until now.

Nativity (week1)

The theme for week 1 of the +GPLUS::P52::2012 project is "New Years Eve/Day".

Among other things, new year's day means Christmas decorations go back into storage until next year. I took the opportunity to take a picture of our simple little nativity scene before packing it away.

In the picture I chose to use a very limited depth of field to try to place the focus where it belongs, on Jesus. You'll notice that the three wisemen in the back are extremely out of focus. My thinking here is that the wise men weren't at the nativity, but rather visited Jesus at his home when he was very young. With this in mind, I placed them far out of focus rather then just removing them from the scene.
