So everyone knows that G+ is going down.

Here's a petition to change that. Who knows? Maybe G will listen.

Thought this might be of interest: (edit: and yeah, I know everyone already knows about it.)

From the google blog: "Action 1: We are shutting down Google+ for consumers. "

"Given these challenges and the very low usage of the consumer version of Google+, we decided to sunset the consumer version of Google+.

To give people a full opportunity to transition, we will implement this wind-down over a 10-month period, slated for completion by the end of next August. Over the coming months, we will provide consumers with additional information, including ways they can download and migrate their data."

So long Google+ :( Its a sad day for a platform many of us loved and also worked for years to help build to what it is today. Sadly, Google says they're preparing to shut Google+ down by August of next year, and not for the reasons stated in this article. According to this blog post: https://www.blog.google/technology/safety-security/project-strobe/ from Google's Vice President of Engineering, Ben Smith, user engagement was too low, and so they decided to call it quits.

What really angers me more than anything is how Google can take years of our hard work building communities like this one, and simply throw it all out with the trash. Somebody please remind Google's heartless and stupid executives that this platform's failure is the fault of their own, not of us. If Google had listened to us to begin with, this platform wouldn't be the failure it is today.

The fact is, Google execs only understand money, but they don't understand the people they serve, not the way we did.

tens of thousands of hours I spent building communities like Strategic Social Networking, Gamrs Bay, and others, and now its all ruined.

LOL. G+ has these "You may know - Follow to see their posts in your home stream" boxes. Three names, two of whom have not posted on G+ in 3 years. :)

Seems simple to me. They organize a Go Fund Me campaign or somesuch and organize a trip. Start and end in, oh, say... Miami.

Design a good route that everyone agrees will lead to the edge, if it's there. And if it's there it should be easy to find. We want photos!!

Take their world tour, with lots of publicity. End up back in Miami. Case closed.

The Phoenix saga was one of my favorite X-men story arcs, or for any comic really. Hoping they do this one right.
Another Marvel movie and another and another and another and another and another ...

So my wife was laughing at some video and, naturally, I had to ask what it was.

She pointed me here: What happens when you reply to a spammer?

Don't care for what shows on your FB feed? Here's how to fix it.
I'm pretty sure that the same "fixes" will work for your G+ and Twitter feeds.
