What a mess. So not interested in another Google thing. What happened to the great developer ecosystem they were building for Chromecast?

What about fixing G+ Hangouts? Abandoning Google Voice?

I've gone from Google fanboy to actually disliking the lack of strategy. Where are you taking us Google?
Every so often, some enterprising computer company will claim they’ve finally fixed the TV. They’ll talk about how they’ve turned a dumb terminal into a smart computing platform that extends...

Interesting...
In Russia, Google Maps now shows the Crimean Peninsula as part of Russian territory. The service shows a different image on browsers in the U.S.

Google+ has a big problem... Google changed something recently that is really messing up the "Nearby" stream on mobile devices. Before you could look at "Nearby" and see what other people on G+ were doing nearby which was pretty cool and a different way to connect to other people. It was a very unique and distinguishing feature of G+ and one I have used often.

Recently though, any reference from anywhere on the planet made to something nearby is all-of-a-sudden included in "Nearby". So if you live near Cleveland like I do, any post that references the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame (and there are many) also ends up as "Nearby".  Any post written about the Cleveland Clinic also ends up in nearby. Spammers and SEO hacks have also figured out that you can post about an area and that too will end up in the "nearby" stream.

At first I just began blocking those sites that had no actual nearby connection but now it accounts for over 75% of the posts that end up "nearby" and there's just not enough time in the day to block all those accounts. I imagine the same is true for others and it makes G+ much, much less useful.

And while I'm complaining... Anyone else notice the dental office, plumber and garage door spam accounts? Also... Why do realtors and headhunters think every social network is their playground to post job listings and houses for sale? So much noise.

Noticing a ton of SEO spam on G+ pages all of a sudden... Most of it disguised as business brand pages.

dead on. it's actually Google's fault. they will process G+ with a higher value than your own webpage which makes companies posting just everything here now just as a copy with no engagement purpose at all.

This could be fun...
Photowall for Chromecast is one of those rare official Google apps that makes its debut on iOS instead of Android. In fact, we can't even say for sure

Extremely poor service - words cannot describe just how bad this company operates. Although the web site leads says "...minimum processing time is 5 working days" they do not tell how long it might really take. I submitted my application and passport 3 weeks ago and I do not have it back yet and had to cancel my trip. There is no customer service - the numbers are disconnected and the email support sends the same response about a minimum of 5 days. There are no refunds for their service either. Ultimately give yourself a couple of months to get your passport back or you are just wasting your money.

The Indian Consulate outsources their visa processing to BLS International and neither have been helpful or responsive to my visa application. I submitted a complete visa application 3 weeks ago and have yet to receive my visa. I have been forced to cancel a very expensive business trip to India as a consequence. No where on the Indian consulate web site or the BLS web site are they transparent about the length of time it takes to receive a visa. My advice is submit a visa application months in advance - clearly they cannot process a visa application within one month.
