As I start to prepare for summer at the lake I found myself reviewing our ambient games from last summer. Here is one of Jonas' very first efforts... and yes I'm insanely proud!!!

And introducing my newest (and oldest!) instrument
Introducing my newest (and oldest!) instrument. I stumbled across an ad on Craigslist for a Chicago Cottage Organ Co. reed organ or pump organ. Preliminary research seems to indicate it having been born in 1898 or so. It seems to be in fair playing condition and aesthetically is in really nice shape for it’s nearly 120 years. I’ve wiped it down a couple times with lemon oil and vacuumed out as much as I can access without starting to break it down. Amazing nostalgic vibe if not the ultimate in intonation… $150! I replaced the belts from the pedals to the bellows today with nylon webbing which should last a couple hundred more years. It may see a full restoration someday but is about as much fun as you can have with your pants on in it’s current state! Talk about vibey… Everyone who has sat down to play it has had a huge ear to ear shit eating grin erupt across their face.

Thanks once again to Michael Twarogowski for stumbling across this incredibly zany Hurdy Gurdy performance by a wacky, rockin french dude. My guess is that's about a $5000 HG...

At long last one of my favorite projects I've worked on in the past few years has been released! Northern Colorado's Genetics has been carving a nice slot for themselves in the jam band scene while honing their craft and evolving as a band. There might even be a little alto lurking in "Toss & Wash"... Let me know what you think

Some fine finger style picking from Milwaukee's Kurt Gratton. Super nostalgic for me parking my time machine back in 1975
