Google Keep - Color Coding, Labels and Workflow

I've been slowing moving my notes ecosystem away from Evernote and over to +Google Keep and +Google Drive. Search is great for finding information, but wanted to share some of my 'cheats' for color coding and labeling Keep notes. I only use Red, Green, Teal and White.

COLOR CODING
Red = ACTION ITEM - Something needs completed - Also MUST include a reminder date
Green = NO ACTION - The note was Red, has been completed and changed to Green. Generally these get Archived.
Teal = SHARED Notes from others to me
White = INFORMATIONAL NOTE only, doesn't require action. Usually stored as archived.

LABELS
Labels are treated as projects or categories. Some notes have more than one label. Some examples include:
automobile, education, errands, events, gifts, health, home projects, life projects, outdoor projects, someday, travel, work projects

WORKFLOW
In +Google Keep on the web, I work from the Reminders section. On my Android phone, I have a home screen widget set to show Reminders. This view on both sorts notes by Reminder time automatically. I can see what is due soon as well as coming up later. When I'm finished with a RED note, I delete the reminder, change the color to GREEN and Archive it. Some of my Red Notes have recurring reminders, so they just cycle back through the Reminder cycle where they get addressed again at another time.

I perform Daily and Weekly Reviews of all my Non-Archived Notes where I evaluate the status of projects, goals, and outcomes, one by one, ensuring at least one current action item on each, if necessary. I also browse through project plans, support material, and any other work-in-progress material to trigger new actions, completions, waiting for’s, etc.

If notes get too long, they go to +Google Drive, where I have folders that match my +Google Keep labels.

Sounds crazy difficult - but it's not and it works for me. Hopefully you'll find something useful here.

Great article from +Mike Elgan. I've tried to use Keep, Inbox and Docs exclusively for all things notes, reminders and checklists..and for the most part they work well. I still find myself wanting/needing to use more robust +Todoist  and +Evernote. How do you avoid not using these other apps?

Scan from Android adding white background Anyone have this problem? When I use Drive on Android to scan a receipt, it adds a white background, completely ignoring any crops. The receipt was placed on a dark colored desk. I've tried a number of setting adjustments.*

The scan works perfect with CamScanner or Evernote.
