I've often thought it would be a good idea to provide universal tab capability to applications, although i don't know why it should be limited to tabbing windows within the same application. I think it would be useful to organize windows of multiple apps into a single window. IMO it would be a less confusing than using multiple desktops.

I like it!

The only thing I would add is that private Knowledge Bases (KBs) can be interconnected with group or public KBs via unique identifier translation using authorized source(s) identifiers (Wikidata Item#, VIAF, etc...). That way instead of plowing through garbage links from global searches on phrases , vocabulary phrase searches can be very specific, down to the domain or subdomain of any discipline.

If I were to share information from my private KB, I would start by using Wikidata Item identifiers. I think Wikidata has done an outstanding job of finding and connecting other public authoritative identifiers to Wikipedia entries.

For instance, a Google search on "Distributed Knowledge" yields all sorts of nonsense. My private KB uses identifier 43119 for the phrase "distributed knowledge" which is internally linked to the Wikdata Item Q5283157. A study group or public KB search of Wikidata Item Q5283157 should yield very specific information linked to this Wikidata Item identifier. The search results could then be filtered or prioritized or grouped by sources, tags, or secondary phrases for further research efficiency.
