Keep your Collection Letter Envelopes.  Collectors have been placing account numbers or QR Codes (the funny looking thing that you can scan on your smartphone to read it).  This is an FDCPA violation entitling you to monetary damages.

We're finding that National Collegiate Student Loan Trust may be "misrepresenting" that payments were made on private student loans that they have acquired, simply to "ensure" that their claims fall within PA's statute of limitations.

Is there a Used Car Lemon Law in PA?

Well, there isn't an actual "lemon law" for used cars but there are laws that may be able to provide relief.  We cannot help everyone who purchases a defective used car, but we can certainly offer a free case review.  If your "new" used car is giving you problems, and you bought it from a car dealer (versus a private seller), contact our office for a look-see and find out if you have any options.  We can assist with many issues that arise in a used car transaction, including spot financing, yo-yo agreements, failure to disclose issues (whether its a lemon, a rental or a transmission issue, the dealer may have to disclose that) or odometer rollbacks.

National Collegiate Trust has been filing many lawsuits based upon old defaulted private student loans.  If you have one of these claims filed against you in Pennsylvania, we can help.
