The pilot, dubbed “Farm to Fork to Fuel”, is Sacramento’s first waste-to-energy program in which organic waste (food scraps, paper, and compostable products) is recycled into renewable natural gas through a process called anaerobic digestion.

This is a one-day event to improve the efficiency and performance of California’s K–12 and community college facilities.
