#XboxOne came out today as a part of the next-generation game consoles improving energy efficiency through innovation. Our latest blog is about Xbox One's improvements in energy consumption  compared to Xbox 360.
While rival PlayStation 4 sold 1 million game consoles in 24 hours last week, Xbox One plans to compete as a next-generation game console with less power consumption than its predecessor. Energy Star began certifying energy-efficient small networking equipment (e.g. modems) and data center storage products (e.g. portable hard drives). These products have grown in use over the last five years and connect to many electronics like computers, TVs, and game consoles.
Small networking equipment like modems and routers received Energy Star efficiency standards as well as data center storage products like portable hard drives.
