President-Elect Donald Trump nominated ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson to serve as the next Secretary of State. Sign the petition and contact your Senator to tell them to reject Rex Tillerson as Secretary of State.

Every person who is concerned with creating a strong democracy and society where we are treated equally must stand up and fight for the restoration of rights for returning citizens. From the stripping of voting rights to the ability to serve on a jury to access to housing and employment, ex-felons are continuously punished after serving their sentences. Until members of this community are treated as citizens again, we are failing on democracy as a country.

In August 2016, Greenpeace flew over the Amazon to search for and register forest fires spots. This year's forest fire season is already being considered one of the worst ever.

Today four activists with Greenpeace peacefully interrupted the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s appointment hearing for President-elect Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson. Holding banners reading “RejectRexx,” the activists stood and delivered messages of opposition to the naming of an oil CEO as the nation’s chief diplomat.

Fracking began in Las Animas County, CO in 1998 - and now residents like Tachia are forced to turn off their wells and haul their water from 30 miles away. This is what fracking looks like up close.

Story
Tagline
Greenpeace is the leading independent campaigning organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and to promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future.
Introduction
Greenpeace has been peacefully defending the planet since 1971. By bringing together activists, supporters and people just like you, we have played a pivotal role in huge wins for the environment. Some of our victories over the years:

- Commercial whaling moratorium
- Ban on toxic waste exports to less developed countries
- Bans on dumping radioactive and industrial waste at sea
- 50-year moratorium on mineral exploitation in Antarctica
- An end to large-scale high-sea driftnet fishing
- Establishment of the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary
- Ban on all nuclear weapons testing

Today, our fight to save the planet has grown more serious than ever. The threat of global warming, destruction of ancient forests, deterioration of our oceans, and the threat of a nuclear disaster loom large. Greenpeace is actively working to address these and other threats and we need your help!
