If VW wants to redeem itself, it needs to make the fine 1.4L turbo available as the stock engine in the Golf (except for GTi versions), and as the stock engine in all Jettas except the GTi equivalent model GLi. Also, bring the Polo to America and introduce a hybrid Tiguan. At least enough hybrid tech to recapture braking energy and use electric motor assist for acceleration in lieu of a larger engine (maybe a 1.4L turbo with electric motor assist). VW's goals should be to make some hybrids with true VW driving dynamics instead of the lumpy braking of Prius's and horrible cornering dynamics.

How would you expect an all-electric BMW 3-Series to compare to the Tesla Model 3? Which would you buy, and why?

I would expect it to cost more for less of a car because it is a BMW. Tesla is American made and thats what and why I'll buy it. No more foreign jobs for me.

What's more important to make electric cars mass-market: longer ranges, or ubiquitous fast-charging stations? Why?

How smart was Warren Buffet to pay half as much as Samsung did for 5 times the stake in BYD, back in 2008?

How safe do you think the Tesla autopilot system is today? Do drivers understand what it really does and doesn't do?

Safer than a teen or tween. A drunk or druggie. I don't believe drivers do understand since most mishaps in the media zoo has been "Human" error.
