As a mother, you’re the emotional thermostat of your home. When you are content and happy, a peaceful energy flows out to each member of your family, wrapping them up in your nurturing, encouraging, unconditional love.

Reader question:

Hello! My daughter is almost potty trained. When she is not wearing any bottoms, she goes to the potty by herself.

I think it's because she peed on herself a couple of times and it bothered her. So it's great!! But when she's wearing a reusable diaper or pants or anything on her bottom, she pees in whatever she's wearing.

Is there a way I can create a discomfort when she's wearing a diaper? She needs to wear one for daycare. TIA

Can you do a cloth training pant? That way she will still feel the dampness but it will hold in little spills for the daycare's sake. It worked well for our son, although naked time is the best too:)

"From week 25 forward, a baby’s primary connection and information to the outside world comes in the form of sound. By this point, the soothing, rhythmic sounds of a simple story should be quite audible, although the tones and cadences of the voice are more important than enunciation of the actual words. "

Megan McCoy Dellecese shares the benefits of reading to your baby in the womb and some great suggestions for books!
