As Arizona's Premier Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine Healing Center, Millennia-old treatment modalities and modern technological advancements each have their place at Great Wall Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Dr. Qingsong Xiao —who hold a Ph.D in traditional Chinese medicine respectively—promote patients' well-being with holistic treatments that alleviate painful symptoms while supporting the human body's ability to heal itself naturally over time. To find the root causes of these symptoms, the practitioners employ a variety of noninvasive diagnostic techniques. Approaches include applying gentle pressure to key trigger points to locate sources of withheld tension and analyzing the pulse's strength, pattern, and ability to communicate in Morse code.

From there, it's up to the staff to recommend a treatment regimen specially tailored to address each client's needs. These regimens can incorporate traditional methods, such as Acupuncture, Tui Na bodywork's combination of gentle massage and acupressure, and Mixtures of Chinese Herbs intended to restore a sense of balance throughout the body's systems. Additionally, technologies such as low-level-laser energy and infrared-light therapy can help alleviate chronic pain, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation throughout the treated area.

Our ideal client seeks alternative medicine treatment utilizing combinations of acupuncture, Chinese-style osteopathy, TuiNa massage, and herbal remedies. Dr. Xiao, founder/leading OMD of Great Wall Chinese Medicine(GWCM), practices non-surgical holistic treatments to provide fast pain relief & enhance the body's natural ability to heal & maintain itself. She use non-invasive diagnoses (meridians, trigger points, tongue reading and pulse pattern recognition) and holistic treatments for tough-to-diagnose problems and tough-to-manage symptoms, including cause-unknown pains, hearing/eyesight impairment triggered by neck constraints or head injury, chronic pain, body aches and strains,cause-unknown infertility, IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), Alzheimer's Disease(AD)Diabetes, Fibromyalgia,  Digestion Issues, Rejuvenation, Bell's Palsy, Sleep disorders, Insomnia, chronic fatigue, Depression, Anxiety, Grief management, Neuralgia, post cancer/radiation/chemotherapy treatment, dizziness, Hives, Acne/skin conditions, Tremors, Cold/ Flu/ Allergy&Sinus issue etc

My daughter went here during her appendectomy recovery stage. She is 6 years old and was a little apprehensive at first about acupuncture. She quickly turned around after Dr. Gingsong Xiao reassured her that the treatment is painless. After just her first visit my daughter went from having pain in her stomach area, exhaustion and a down feeling to feeling refreshed, energetic and free of pain! We continue to go there and plan on getting the rest of the family treatments after seeing the unprecedented results with our own eyes.

I have been practicing Emergency and Urgent care Medicine for over 15 years but yet am not interested in prescription pain medication or surgery for chronic low back pain. I discovered Dr. Xiao last year. She has been working with me and I have experienced tremendous improvement in my symptoms through acupuncture and manual therapy. I will continue to seek her treatment for ongoing care and have referred my patients to her who are interested in exploring other methods of treatment for their conditions. Thank you Dr. Xiao! I have been successfully treated by Dr. Xiao for 2 very different conditions. 1) I suffered a CTD / RSI hand/wrist injury due to my profession. Rehabilitation doctors are not trained to detect minor amounts of inflammation and use a pain scale of 1-10 to quantify a patient's condition, or use expensive and uncomfortable diagnostic tests. For a minor inflammatory condition, hand therapy and anti-inflammatory medicines were the prescribed course of action. Unfortunately, a minor onset of more inflammation from overuse is not detectable by the hand therapist either, who is also trained with the pain scale. Dr. Xiao is an expert detecting minor amounts of inflammation and could identify both where and how I sustained it. She used a combination of deep tissue diagnosis and healing massage, herbal remedies, and acupuncture to remove the inflammation. Now, I am working with both Dr. Xiao and the hand therapist to build muscle and function. I have regained a tremendous amount of strength and am well on the way towards a full recovery. 2) I had a persistent skin irritation lasting over a year that my dermatologist could not identify and prescribed steriodal creams for. Dr. Xiao recognized it right away as an energy imbalance in the liver channel. She used a combination of herbal remedies and acupuncture and cleared it away permanently after 4 months of treatments. She is easily one of the best diagnosticians and practitioners that I have ever met, and she truly loves her work. I cannot say enough about how she has dramatically improved my life.

I had sleeping issues for a while, hard to fall into asleep and the sleep was really light. It seriously affected my work. Friend recommended Dr. Xiao's place to me two weeks ago, and Dr. Xiao gave me only three rounds of acupuncture considering my age and body condition. first time for me to have those "needles", but its not hurtful, amazing! These two weeks I enjoy the time in bed so much, easy to have a sweet sleep, and the sleep cycle app on my iphone shows me stay in a deep sleep status through the whole night. I feel no hesitate to recommend her treatment to anyone I know! fabulous and wonderful.

I recently visited GWCM for my lower back pain that was so bad it was affecting my walking, sitting and everyday life. I also was experiencing a shooting pain down my left leg that was so sharp I almost couldn't get up stairs at work. I went in was blown away by the office, there are multiple treatment rooms, a great atmospshere and the staff is so nice and helpful. I saw Dr. Xiao first and she went through ever question you could imagine, she was very in-depth, which made me feel good knowing she cared. She recommended TuiNa massage and acupuncture. After 1 visit my pain level went from a 9 to a 1-2 and after my second visit last week it is almost completely gone. I cannot say enough about the care given and the help that I received! I would recommend to anyone for pain relief and so much more, they truly do it all.

I started with Dr. Xiao in mid May 2013 after a lumpectomy and 5 days of radiation. She came highly recommended by a friend who she had treated very successfully for knee pain. She began working on my energy, which was very low and my immune system. I felt results from an energy standpoint and more mental clarity within 3 treatments and have continued to get treatments because of continued results. I was rear-ended June 8th and the more concentrated acupuncture and TuiNa treatments have resulted in catching any impact of that accident early and continuing to strengthen my body, energy and immune system. Both Greg, who does the TuiNa and Dr. Xiao are excellent in their practice and I recommend them highly.

Dr. Qinsong Xiao not only has rich experience in treating patients' problems, but also is a good communicator. She always starts her treatment for patients from the real cause of the problem by understanding the whole health history of the patient. Take me as an example, she did not just give me pain killers for my stomach pain. Instead, she did acupuncture for me after truly understanding my problem. Several of my friends are her patients, and had great improvement after several visits. Some of them looking for pain relief, some for quitting smoking, some for treating migraine..... Dr. Xiao's acupuncture is just so amazing that can treat almost every problem without any side effect!!!
