Did "fierce" superflares from our ancient sun aid or harm the development of life on earth? Vladimir Airapetian, #GRL author of Rocking Stories of the Universe, lead a study to investigate the connection between the rise of life on primordial Earth and the turbulent motions of our young sun.

Check out Dr. Airapetian's interview with Astrobiology Magazine for an engaging new theory on the origin of life.

“Discovering Accounting” is a fully digital, student-centered experience that introduces users to increasingly complex accounting principles. Author Helen Brubeck, limited by the static nature of traditional texts and eager to more fully capture student interest, created “Discovering Accounting” to better illustrate the theme of her course: Accounting is a journey best understood through guided exploration.

Head over to our blog to read more about this publication and how it is combining the innovations of the new media with the best characteristics of the old.

NCA14 dinner at Miller's Pub in Chicago!  With the conference in full swing, GRL team members Sheena Reed, John Vail, and Keith Kropp had the opportunity to reconnect with some of our most inspiring authors.

GRL has come a long way since its founding nearly a decade ago: that success is rooted in the strength of our relationships within the Communications community.

Thank you GRL authors Beth Bennett, Adam Earnheardt, Mark Williams, Mark Hickson and Sam Wallace for your steadfast partnerships. Here's to a second decade of developing quality communications publications for students across the country.
