We had the opertunity to sail on the Kayama while on holiday last June and had an excellent time. A warm welcome when boarding set us up for a great trip and as a family we all enjoyed the experience. Great food and drink choices, we also tried the local dish Poutine which was nice, and we were involved in the raising of the sails which was brilliant your never too old to take part. The journey out on the lake was so relaxing and the views of Toronto were amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. We would highly reccomend this tour, a great experience to do while in town. Go see for yourself and enjoy the experience, Brilliant! Visitor from Edinburgh.

In September 2011 I was privileged to attend a birthday bash of a friend of mine, hosted by the Great Lakes Schooner Company on board their yacht Challenge. It was made all the better by being a lovely warm summers day. We spent 2-3 hrs sailing around the island with good music fine wine and excellent food. There where 3 even 4 generations aboard (1yr-87yrs) and all were accommodated for. My photographs perhaps do not do it justice. it was well organised and efficiently run by Darren from Great Lakes. I highly recommend them for any celebration. Congragulations to Darren and Great Lakes Schooners

I had misfortune dealing with this company for my wedding. By the end of night I had a number of concerns that were not only properly addressed. I was yelled at by Shey - Manager and her partner so loud that I had to hang up. Here is how they treat you after you spend $20,000 on doing business with them: - food was cold, very cold. Not something you'd expect from the company that calls themselves a caterer. - ingredients in food were missing. We had agreed upon very detailed menu, but when food arrived two dishes were missing key ingredients. - wine was not served as we agreed. They repeatedly promised that wine bottles won't be put on each table, instead staff will service them to make sure wine is not wasted. My decorator has suggested I clarify this because she always asks for it. Shey has said two times this is how they'll do it. In return, they put bottles on the table wasting at least 10 of them. - tea and coffee was cold, very cold. It wasn't my job to run after their waitresses, but I have asked them to make warmer tea during desert. They didn't. - DJ screwed up a first song. Basically she made announcement and put a wrong song. Unacceptable for someone calling herself professional. My first dance experienced was completely ruined. Many other things went wrong. Worst is that after the event I have yet to receive any apology. Shey, that wasn't there at the event but keeps telling me how wrong am I. I may be wrong, but my 75 guests are not - people complain to me and I am very upset. I will never recommend their company to anyone. Plus I must also say we were extremely lucky with the weather. Shey kept telling me if it rains they will have a retractable roof. I must say that wouldn't work. With the slightest rain, combined with their awful service, your event will be garbaged.
