At Great Harvest, when we talk about fresh bread, we mean that our wheat kernels were ground into fresh whole grain flour this morning and we added only simple, recognizable ingredients. We make fresh dough from scratch, by hand, and bake it for you.

If you’ve never tried Great Harvest we’re so sure you'll love it , we want to #breadswap with you!

On November 10th, 11th and 12th...bring in any loaf of bread from home, opened or unopened, in exchange for a loaf of fresh, hand-made Great Harvest Bread for FREE. #BreadSwap

Helpful info from the American Heart Association: Cracking the Whole Grain Code and the Skinny on Dietary Fiber http://hubs.ly/H05lNf60
Whole Grains contain the entire grain –the bran, germ and endosperm. (TMI, right?) Refined Grains have been milled (ground into flour or meal) which removes the bran and germ. Real food. Real people. Real business.
Introduction
We love real food that tastes great, whole grains, fresh bread and the freedom to run our own local franchise businesses serving our neighbors across the U.S.

You can learn more about us on our website or at our blog. Or find your local Great Harvest bakery location with our bakery locator. Each bakery is locally owned and operated.

Great Harvest bread is renowned for its amazing taste and healthful qualities. The essence of our company hasn't changes since our founders discovered the wonder of Montana wheat and opened the first Great Harvest bakery in 1976. Loyal customers raved about the unusually fresh and rich taste of their whole wheat bread. Word spread, and others soon wanted to bring the taste of handcrafted, whole grain bread to this own communities.

Family of independently owned and operated whole grain bread bakeries. Authenticity, a spirit of camaraderie and individuality form the foundation of the organization. Today there are more than 200 Great Harvest bakeries located across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Each bakery reflects its owner's personality and the community it serves. No two bakeries are alike, yet they all have one thing in common -- the bakery owners are passionate about continuing the artisan tradition of handcrafting whole grain breads and goodies from scratch.
