A concise piece covering some history of flotation and the experience itself
On Fringe, a sensory deprivation tank can activate your mental powers and even open a gateway to another universe. But what can floating in a dark warm tank do for you in real life? And why would people even want to do such a thing?

Has anyone tried out flotation for consciousness expansion?
The void teaches all
Sensory deprivation is one of the most unique environments on the face of the earth.
Relaxing the body from gravity, the mind from the senses.
The tank gives you what you need
Embrace the void

Thanks G-Spa, checking it out now. I could "float" that kind of price for a priceless piece of mind, see what I did there :-)  Thanks

Everyone has heard regular meditation can dramatically improve ones health, both mental and physical. Though few of us habitually make time for ourselves, let alone are able to fully let go when we do. Luckily there is a mind-expanding, rejuvenating experience available, and it is called flotation.
Seek out your local float center to experience sensory deprivation first hand and meet the you beyond your thoughts!

I have been to Gravity Spa three times now and I absolutely love it. The staff is always polite, helpful, and never pushy. The facility is always clean and has a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend it for anyone considering a float.

I live in Nashville, TN but was in Cincinnati visiting family. I drove an hour to get to Gravity Spa and it was well worth the drive. This was my first float experience, and it was unbelievably relaxing. I think everyone should try floating atleast once. If you live anywhere near this place, I envy you! I will definitely be floating whenever I am in town. Unfortunately, Tennessee doesn't have any float centers.

Drove over an hour to this place (from Columbus) - totally worth it. This was my first time floating - what a unique experience. I found that the float forces you to relax and just think through things going on in life. The gravity spa staff is GREAT, the facility is very clean and its just an awesome place to help relax and get more in touch with mind/body/soul.

Inviting place once you step inside. Very nice owners & staff. Reassuring. Not pushy. I'm claustrophobic. They allowed me to float with the door open both times I went. Drawback: open door lets warmth out of chamber. Melony suggested I use a rolled up towel to keep the door ajar next time. I'll do that. Definitely going to be a next time. :-)

Three things: 1) The staff and owners are awesome. Every time I've been in everyone has been very inviting, upbeat, polite, helpful, and conversational. 2) If you're on the fence about floating, do it immediately! It's like reclining in a La-Z-Boy made out of baby oil and it's ultra relaxing. Claustrophobia wasn't much of an issue, because the ceiling is kind of high and it's super dark. 3) I float and get massages as often as I can but I go back every week for Yoga class. I think it's awesome and relaxing and I'm a 280lb ex-football player. TLDR: Gravity Spa is my favorite place in the greater Dayton area. I highly recommend a visit.

went for a couple's massage and I was not inpressed to say the least. The guy messaging me was so distracted trying to teach the woman how to massage my bf that I couldn't relax or enjoy myself. He didn't even massage my arms. I think a one on one may have been better. On another note my bf really enjoyed his massage.
