This has to be by far the worst phone company I've every used. Prior to transferring from another company I was assured that my desk phone would ring through with my transferred number. The representative never said this would be a "virtual number" which needs another line to ring through to. They need to train their employees better. I am a small business owner trying to save money not increase it by adding multiple lines I have to pay extra for. Additionally, I would like to say that every time a call would ring through to my cell number it would disconnect the caller so I never received but 1 phone call the entire time I was with them. If you are looking to save money, beware and steer very clear of this company!

Good customer service, but here's a word for the wise: It took two days to hear from Grasshopper Support when I contacted them, then they needed my master pin number in order to go ahead and fix the problem, so don't forget to put that in your initial request for help, because it added another day before they were able to try and help. Also, test the system extensively right away to make sure it will work with your client base. The forwarding system is cumbersome and can be confusing if a call is forwarded to your cell phone and you have to allow it to go to voicemail. Don't just assume it's working like I did. I couldn't figure out why the only calls I received resulted in hang ups. When I tested it by calling myself, the whole process of dialing, hearing my greeting, then hearing hold music, then hearing the system's greeting, then more hold music, then a prompt to leave a message took over one minute. Too long to keep clients waiting just to leave a message, in my opinion.

Too many steps if you update a new greeting from their voice studio. And no notification once you placed an oder. The now greeting will send to you in 7-10 DAYS.and I have to upload by myself... all in all, the service is good. but their product is too DIFFICULT to use. Bad choice.

Hi Christina, Thanks for the honest feedback. You should have received a confirmation email once you submitted your voice studio order - if you didn't let me know and I'll check into that. Our voice studio scripts are recorded by actual people, and we want to make sure we get them perfect for you, so that's why we have a 7-10 day turnaround. Grasshopper provides a great service for my company. Highly recommend for companies of all sizes. Terrific support and features.My long time business number was ported over from AT&T with just a minor delay. Grasshopper was, and still is, the perfect phone solution for my 2 person business when I searched for a way to end having a landline in 2014. Flexible settings for work and non-work hours, extensions, etc.

Very frustrating experience. As a startup with a global scope, Grasshopper would only consider providing me with international service (which is primarily what we need in our business) after a $500 deposit that they would hold for 6 months, which is significant for a startup business (and exactly what I would NOT expect from "the entrepreneurs phone system"). While trying to port my numbers to Vonage - who don't require a deposit to enable international dialing, plus their rates are cheaper - Grasshopper denied the request due to a "mismatch in phone number" (even though phone numbers match exactly). Multiple calls to their customer service resulted in no help at all - was just told I had to email...and then wait up to 4 days for them to respond. Still waiting...

Hi Andrea, I'm so sorry about your experience with Grasshopper. I connected with our support team a few minutes ago, and a manager is reviewing this and will reach out to you shortly. I apologize that you haven't heard from anyone - that's a mistake on our part. As for the $500 international calling deposit, we require that to prevent unauthorized use of the feature. All of your charges are deducted from that over the following 6 month period, and it is fully refundable if you cancel or remove that feature before the 6 month period is over. - Mary

Love Grasshopper for my business, it gives me access to so many more tools than just a toll free number. It meets all my needs, the price is right and I haven't had any problems with the service.

We've been using Grasshopper with our first business since 2013 and have been thrilled with their superior customer service. We have now used them for our current business, as well as recommended them to others. Grasshopper is an AMAZING tool that makes running the simplest aspects of your business (like the phones) really easy and a no brainer. The pricing is competitive and we never have any problems. They offer also a really great selection for vanity numbers, and allow you to search before buying. This special feature is one of the reasons we always recommend Grasshopper first before anything else. We love it! They're also amazing at supporting Small Business and helping entrepreneurs grow. Whether or not we continue to use the service in the future (and I'm sure we will), their dedication to Small Business will ALWAYS make them a favorite for us. Keep up the great work guys and we look forward to going into another year with you!

No services for a really expensive price. my number was really really hard to port. It took like 6 months to port over to my new carrier and they had to do a forced push. Something not really available except in extreme scenarios. if you're having trouble porting your number, ask for a forced push. it actually worked. You can leave Grasshopper. It just takes some effort.
