My organization is hiring three new positions, a sysadmin, an Executive Assistant & a Communications Associate. It's a great place to work and an exciting time to be a part of MMT. Applications close on Monday, March 16th, 2015.
On March 15, MMT will take a hiatus from some grantmaking through the summer and into the fall while we engage with our partners. The Trust is suspending our Responsive Grants and Grassroots Grants programs to reorganize our grantmaking into priority funding areas. After March 15, we will no ...

I think +Google Chrome's spellchecker might just be the worst spellchecker I've seen since the 90s. Hell, maybe the 80s. Isn't this a solved problem? How do we go backwards?

Just received a bug report about Google not displaying our organization's phone number correctly. A quick check revealed that our number was fine on Google so I checked Bing and sure enough it was wrong on Bing. So well done to Bing for sneaking yourselves onto someone's device as their default search... except for the part where they still call you Google.

Today is Human Rights Day in South Africa. It honors human rights and commemorates the Sharpeville massacre where police gunned down 69 protesters, including 10 children, most shot in the back while running away. #humanrightsday

This is an incredible creative project that is also a great example of web and social media innovation. The world's first 24-hour music video: Pharrell Williams - Happy. You can skip through the scenes, which do have a sequence and continuation and regular interludes by the artist. Where did they find all these people? Amazing project that is all the more captivating for being spontaneous and unrehearsed. #24hoursofhappy

+Ben Baltimore I agree. The song being upbeat and infectious is almost a must. I think it also helped the performers.

What a lovely place. I was lucky to find Bronze Antler at a bad time. The great weather I'd hoped for and that had been in the forecast turned into endless rain and even some early fall snow. The idea of camping in that mess was unappealing so I stopped there. Heather was a warm and friendly host and the place was comfortable, cosy and welcoming, the perfect place to hunker down for a couple of days until the worst of the weather passed. It was also in very good shape, being very well cared for something not true of all the B&Bs I've stayed at. Their cleaner is astonishing as I normally have to contend with dust issues because of allergies, but not this time. The place was immaculate. The bathroom had everything you could hope for and a few things you'd never have expected. The shower was awesome. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The furniture, art and fixings also all added to the experience. I'm not sure I've ever stayed at a B&B with more nice touches. If they have forgotten anything I have no idea what it could be. They have some nice touches aimed at romantic couples so if you're looking for a romantic place to stay in a beautiful part of the world where you will be very, very well taken care of, then this is the place. It's also a great place for those doing work, with good wifi, plenty of power ports, a desk and so on, as well as public spaces where one can comfortably work. And if you just want somewhere to rest your weary soul, this is the place. I plan to return.
