Earlier this week, I was standing in the checkout line at the supermarket and noticed the guy in front of me with the tell-tale small hump under his jacket and right over his belt. As we waited for the person in front of both of us, I quietly said,
"38 or 357 Magnum revolver?"
He looked at me a bit surprised for just a split second then grinned slyly.
"Nope. 44 Mag Bulldog."
I nodded my appreciation and looked away, then he said,
"Guess it's time for either a larger coat or a smaller gun huh?"
I just laughed and told him. "Go for the larger jacket, it's cheaper."
Until Chemo damaged my eyesight, I was licensed to carry a concealed firearm in Texas and did so on a semi-regular basis. These days, I leave it in my gun safe and I will transfer ownership of it over to my oldest son when he returns from the Middle East.
It isn't a rare thing at all here in Texas to spot CC owners (Conceal/Carry) on a daily basis if you know what you are looking for.
