Spring is certainly here in Belize, the Easter winds, the warming temperatures – both sea and air – and summer is on its way. The seasonal fruits are at the local fruit stands (you can read more about them – from mangos to dragonfruit – in this post) and flowers are all abloom.

But I certainly remember this – it seemed as though everyone was asking the same question: What do you want to do when you graduate? It was a bit exciting…a bit overwhelming and just a tiny bit scary. Here on Ambergris Caye, that question is still being asked of young folks.

Sargasso is all over the Caribbean right now but we are working hard to clean it up.  And the waters of Belize and the barrier reef...they are as beautiful as ever.  Read more about what Sargassum is all about:  http://goo.gl/lHwSQS
Most beach goers around the Caribbean and the Gulf Coast are familiar with the plant pictured below. It's called sargasso/sargassum and it's a seaweed (technically a macro-algae) that grows unrooted or floating atop the water. It is common on shorelines throughout the tropics.

Story
Introduction
Grand Caribe Belize is a beautiful, modern, seaside resort located on the serene north end of Ambergris Caye about 2 miles north of the quaint little town of San Pedro. Situated on 500 feet of beach are eight individual buildings consisting of 9 condominiums each. The unique layout of the resort results in extraordinary panoramic ocean views from each of the 72 units.
