Tried a new John Besh restaurant yesterday called Johnny Sanchez. Amazing authentic Mexican - best in NOLA! Beautiful modern decor with a Mexican flair and great margaritas! Highly recommended.

First weekend of Mardi Gras 2015 is in the history books. It was sunny & warm & not over crowded. Great time had by all: guests, family & friends!!

Spent a wonderful afternoon touring Whitney Plantation. It's an hour road trip from the B&B and worth the drive. The place is a museum dedicated to slavery and memorializes the lives of over 100,000 slaves throughout history at this property.

#NOWFE2015 was a huge success and great time had by all. Got good reports from guests & friends alike for many different events. What could ever be wrong with an event celebrating food & wine in NOLA?!!

Mardi Gras season is here and the parades are about to roll! We’ll be watching the parades from our doorstep and balcony with some of the best sights of the parade floats themselves!

Had another fabulous dinner with friends at a classic New Orleans restaurant. While it is a drive out of town & its atmosphere is plain, the food is always wonderful & worth the trip!

While there is another Grand Victorian out there, this is the New Orleans, LA Bed and Breakfast located in the beautiful and historic Garden District, a 10 minute ride on the St. Charles Ave streetcar to the French Quarter, Tulane University and the famed restaurants and sites of NOLA.

My wife and I stayed here for a wedding at City Park and couldn't have been any happier with our stay. The SHADOWS room was amazing with all the amenities of the present, but we felt like we had gone back in time. Bonnie and staff were so friendly and took great care of us. If you have a question about anything in N,O., simply ask Bonnie! The next time we're in N.O., this is where we'll stay. There is a lot of work going on with the Street Car towards Tulane. Plan on taking the RTA bus towards Canal & Lee's circle, and you can pick up the Street Car there to get to the French Quarter. See Bonnie for passes.

The location of the Grand Victorian is very convenient for accessing the many attractions in NOLA. Park the car, ride the trolley from the front door. The facility and near by area are beautiful. The innkeeper was especially helpful to us in planning our activity each day of our stay. Enjoy the Grand Victorian! Carolyn Bain

Some of the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was awesome. The one thing that was on the negative was that we were sitting on the balcony and one of the housekeepers was on the balcony smoking and talking on her cell phone and she never left until she was done. I thought that was very unprofessional of her and she was not friendly at all. Another time I saw her cleaning a room and she was still on the phone. I will come back because in spite of that one person I still enjoyed my stay.

What a great spot for a NOLA trip. You are right on St. Charles street, but no street noise in our room. Loved the convenience of the streetcar stop right outside the hotel. Rachel is super helpful when you check in and they have good advice about the Garden District and Magazine St restaurants. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

My boyfriend and I went to New Orleans for Spring break and we chose to stay at the Grand Victorian and it was the best decision ever. Not only was it located in the beautiful garden district, the house itself was charming and wonderfully furnished. Plus it was conveniently located right next to the St. Charles Street car stop. The room was great. very comfortable and breakfast every morning was delicious. I highly recommend staying here for any occasion. Bonnie and Rachel take extra care to make sure your trip is just the way you want it and your stay is better than ever. I'll definitely be returning there next time I go to New Orleans.

I wish I could rate this a 3.5. It was truly a nice home. The staff and owners were likable and helpful in every measurable way. My complaint is the breakfast. While this seem like a minor point to lose a star over, I would argue the rooms that I rented were for a bed and *breakfast*. Had I known that the breakfast would be better categorized as continental breakfast, I may have just opted for the Holiday Inn.

We had a spectacular visit. The hotel is very well maintained, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect, with the streetcar stop right out front and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. I highly recommend the GVBB.

The perfect stay. We went there for our honeymoon. Such an amazing room! Personal balcony, complimentary sherry, giant indoor jacuzzi tub. And both Bonnie and Rachel were super helpful. They had recommendations for some of the best places to eat, tours to take, and areas to visit. I cannot recommend this spot enough! It's right in front of a streetcar stop, which makes for an easy trip down to the french quarter. And there is a multitude of amazing restaurants nearby, down washington and also on magazine street. Including the famous Commanders Palace...which was one of the best meals of my life. Can't thank Bonnie and Rachel enough for their hospitality!
