Ill start my review from check in to check out Upon arrival the sign jumps out at you and you will probably miss it. Parking lot spaces are small but they have a very convenient parking garage. Guest services were more than accommodating and very polite. Elevators were slow as Im sure youve read in reviews. Upon arriving into our room I inspected the room for signs of bedbug activity, none found so I was very pleased. Moved some appliances around to search for roach activity also none found so this immediately put me at ease. Our "partial ocean view" was exactly that but was still gorgeous. Second day in we realized our fridge wouldnt keep cold temperature. We called guest services and it took a while for someone to come up and replace fridge ( probably waiting on the slow elevator ) No other problems with the room besides the tub would fill up mid shower due to slow draining. Parts of the hotel were outdated. The bar had a live band pretty much everyday which I would recommend spending less money on everyday bands and use some of that to update things and maybe put in some more elevators. Most gorgeous oceanside views. Close to everything including gift shops, grocery stores, liquor stores etc. Close to the end of our stay the water pipe above us in the drop ceiling bathroom was leaking and they repaired it very quickly. Tile floors are so much better than the standard traditional carpet floors in other hotels. Only issue with staff we had was during the wedding we pulled into parking lot and they check tickets to make sure you are hotel guests... when mine wasnt on the dash he gave me attitude (being from NY I gave it right back to him without hesitation and he backed off ) Gym equipment was so outdated that 2 machines broke on me so I stopped going. I absolutely cannot wait to go back. Only advice: Check rooms for pest problems and be prepared to take the stairs a lot. Also the beach chair umbrella things are $25 for the day so be prepared for that as well. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and will be returning next year!

I arrived at the hotel with moderate expectations. Instantly I was shocked to find our door to the room open upon arrival. The room wreaked of wet paint and it was so strong as to give me a constant headache. I forgave this mishap and tried to enjoy the vacation. Later, I was disappointed to find that our room had never been cleaned, the bed hadn't been made and the linens were still wet and grimy from previous use. I called for fresh towels and waited over an hour to receive them. In the late hours of the night, I was kept awake by loud partiers in the surrounding rooms. After calling guest services to ask them to be quiet, I was again disappointed by the services when no silence came. Another day passed and I again found that they had forgotten to clean my room. Calling to politely ask to have it fixed, I was responded to by a rude woman that showed no signs of remorse or apology. The room still smells, the room is dirty and lacking in amenities that room service can't seem to remember to replenish and I am very disappointed by the overall stature of the hotel. The food was crappy and over priced, the staff was rude if you insisted in proper services and it was very tacky. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel under any circumstance. It is a place for middle class people to over pay for sh*t quality hotel service. Do not stay here.

A beautiful place to stay. Had a beach view room which was very comfortable. Great things to do around the hotel. Just had a great time.

They say you only have one chance to make a first impression. How true! We checked in and got to our room when unfortunately realized that were hairs and sand on bed sheets. On our way to the beach we let the front desk know of the situation, they apologized and assured us by the time we'd be back the issue would be resolved. We returned to our room in a couple of hours hoping we'd have clean bed, but everything was untouched. We also realized that the hair dryer in the bathroom was not working at all, so went down to the front desk again and talked to a different person, he also assured us that the issue will be resolved. Got back to the room after dinner and Voila! we had clean bedding and a working hair dryer. We only tried breakfast buffet two times. If you wanna quickly grab a bite, it will do it, but otherwise for the same price there are much better choices in the area. The food is not that great, the only thing that was yummy is the fresh fruit, the pancake , eggs and bacon just tasted weird to me. Service was okay, but the experience made us not want to even try the rooftop restaurant. The pictures we saw online were a little misleading. The room we stayed at had a ceiling fan that rubbed against the light cover making a really annoying noise. The curtain rod in the shower and the drain in the sink were rusty. Also the exhaust fan in the bathroom is not on the ceiling, therefore it did not really serve its purpose. The walls were pretty thin, as a matter of fact there was a night when we could hardly sleep as a baby on the same floor cried over the entire night. The staff was courteous, and they did have free parking and wifi, so overall it's decent place for the money.

I recently stayed at Grand Plaza for a friend's wedding. The trip was not great, and ever since then we have had our apartment torn to pieces thanks to bed bugs. If you have ever had bed bugs, you know how stressful, expensive, and disgusting it is. Other than the bug infestation, most of the staff was rude. The building was old and out of date. The gym was gross. It was such a disappointment, as we were very much looking forward to a relaxing vacation and celebrating a wedding.
