CloudFTP lets you share a whole hard drive full of movies wirelessly with your iDevice! It started out as a Kickstarter project that and I helped fund. (You can read about it here: http://geekbeat.tv/cloudftp )
Well, they shipped the first batch and we're giving a pair away!
HOW TO WIN:
1) Do you have me in a Circle here on G+? Perfect! Move to Step 2.
2) Publicly share this post.
That's it! Once you've done those two things, you're entered to win the CloudFTP that I'm giving away. (And YES, this one is open to EVERYONE, not just people in the US or Canada.)
If you want to double or triple your chance of winning, John is giving away another on her post right here ==>
And if you leave a comment below you get an extra chance at winning! (Remember, G+ only allows 500 comments, so there's that...)
There I was, cycling along in the wet, lost in my own thoughts, when I rounded the corner pictured below. As I did so, I suddenly realised that I had absent mindedly strayed onto the manhole cover you can see in the foreground of the picture. My front wheel made it safely across, but then my back wheel stepped out a significant distance, and I straightened the bike up to stop me falling off. This put me up onto the grass verge on the left, which I rattled across while being unable to steer or brake effectively until I crashed into the end of the hedge you can see on the far right of the picture!
At the last second I put my head down and took the impact on my helmet. According to my Garmin I was still doing 20 mph when I hit the hedge. The hedge then held me up so I didn't actually fall off. I had to break a branch to extract my bike from the hedge. It seemed to have bent and then bounced through my front wheel.
The most important thing is nobody saw this happen! My bike is fine. The long sleeved jersey I was wearing has some moss stains on the arm, but I'm hoping vanish will get that out. I have a bruise on my left arm and some scratches on my left leg, but nothing worse than that. So all in all not too bad at all. If you're going to crash into something I can definitely recommend a hedge!
