If you have any questions, please ask! If you know anyone who'd be interested in joining, please share this with them. And if you want to know why we need to improve the intersection of education and technology, here are a few reasons:

Walking down +TEDActive memory lane while preparing for my talk at #TEDxSantoDomingo, I remembered Ibrahim Mursal's story about the Sudanese government shutting down +TEDxKhartoum تيد أكس خرطوم . He shared the story at #TEDxArendal  in his talk "Ideas Worth Protecting":

Powerful. It shows you the power of ideas, and the danger they pose to dictators and dogmas.

Some really handy cellphone tips, like using a drop of water as a macro lens (?!!) -- going to try that with my Samsung S5, since it's supposedly waterproof... Tried using my headphones as a clicker, but that didn't work for me. Anyone else get that to work?

Mind. BLOWN. Trying to figure out a way to do this in real-time using live streamed data from a #Kinect  V2 (Kinect for Windows), for a dance performance at the Wortham Cullen in Houston. Anyone have any suggestions on potential collaborators locally?

If you enjoy the talk, please "Like" it on the ‪#‎CMHou‬ page, and/or give it a "thumbs up" on the YouTubes: Thank you so much!

"Grace Lee Boggs said, 'To make a revolution, people must not only struggle against existing institutions. They must make a philosophical and spiritual leap and become more 'human' human beings. In order to change the world, they must change themselves. I believe that this idea is The Big Idea that catalyzes radical change: In order to 'be the change,' we must first change the being. ...

"This is the Revolution I wish to see in the world: Be Thoughtful. In all ways. Always."

Many thanks to +Erma Tijerina, +Shawna Forney, +Andrew Karnavas+Zero Anataman, +Ian Leonard, +Jonathan Leonard, the entire Creative Mornings team, and Thank YOU to all who joined us that morning for #CMRevolution. You all made it magical!

Great patio! Love their farm-to-table, community-oriented mission. The food is good; the burgers are definitely on the "healthy" side. Won't be as juicy as your burgers from Barnaby's or Christian's Tailgate.

Blacksmith is owned and run by the people behind Greenway Coffee, so rest assured that you're getting the BEST coffee in Houston. They truly have it down to a science -- you can just ask David or Ecky or any of theach bad-ass baristas about where they source their beans, the nuances among coffee from different countries/regions/farms, how they roast their beans, how they make sure they have good water at the right temperature, etc. It's eye-opening! The decor is rustic minimalist with quite a bit of seating for the space, and they have a small shaded outdoor patio. The food menu is small, too, but it aims for -- and hits spot on -- quality over quantity: I highly recommend the homemade biscuit or the breakfast skillet. And if you find yourself hanging out there all day and want more, it's just a short walk to Blacksmith's friends Hay Merchant or Underbelly across the street for dinner and adult beverages (re: alcohol).

It feels like walking into a café in Nolita or Brooklyn (NYC): Modern-rustic decor and design, with good Italian-style coffee and homemade pastries. The only turnoff was the nonstop pounding of dance and house music, but Fellini is still a MUCH better stop for espresso-based coffee drinks than the Starbucks around the corner!
