Amusing (and helpful!) date ideas in Portland, organized by commitment level via Thrillist. Love the shoutout for a stop at Jack Knife. #sentinel #somanystories

Chelsea and Shane were married on a rather blustery November day at one of our favorite urban venues, Coopers Hall in SE Portland. They chose a palette of ivory, blush and navy, with lots of greene…

Lauren and Garrett's wedding was featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty and we can certainly see why. Gorgeous. #sentinelhotel

When this bride’s Nana surprised her with a pre-wedding gift that included a pearl necklace and blue garter, she was overjoyed. But when the bride learned these two pieces were worn by both her Nana and mother on their wedding days, it made them all the more special. Thanks to Sweetlife Photography for a peek inside this […]

Visit Portland like a celebrity and stay with us. #sentinelhotel http://ow.ly/YUeu2
No place can beat L.A. or New York for celebrity sightings (except maybe Indio during Coachella or Park City during Sundance). But Portland has more...

Went to the Sentinel to enjoy the bar with friends. Overall, a nice place to visit with a wide variety of drinks and cocktails available. Ambiance is relaxed with a flair toward the age of Edison and Tesla. The bar features self serve water which is a bonus when quite busy, and the bartenders were knowledgeable and prompt.

Nice hotel, in an old building. Outstanding location, good service from staff. Loud bar downstairs did not disturb sleep at all. Expensive valet parking though.

Beautiful open venue, great supportive staff, it was slightly inconvenient to have to cross lobby to use separate elevators between guest rooms and ballroom events. Some elevator work was still being done which could have been a part of that.

The Sentinel staff were more than accommodating at my brothers wedding. They went out of their way to make sure the event was extra special.

Great location for newcomers to Portland. The room was small and a bit noisy but comfortable, plenty of nice amenities, awesome bar attached to the hotel. For those who know Portland it's easily accessible to some great locations, like the park blocks, art museum, the Driftwood Room, etc. Wish I could have been on the 6th floor!

Stayed here in mid July for 2 nights for work and was surprised as I never considered Sentinel to be a nice hotel. The staff and the rooms were on par with all the luxury hotels I've stayed in. Service was impeccable. The 24 hour small gym with free water and fruit was a nice touch too for an east coaster that would be up at 4am.

I was really impressed by the room. The guest services had their patter down but also seemed sincerely friendly. The toilet was slightly busted in our room and it always took two flushes to clear completely.
