Chelsea and Shane were married on a rather blustery November day at one of our favorite urban venues, Coopers Hall in SE Portland. They chose a palette of ivory, blush and navy, with lots of greene…

The bar was very professional and clean, food and drinks were fantastic. The hotel room was very accommodating with a beautiful balcony and view of portland. I would definitely go there again for another event or visiting portland long term.

Unbeatable location. City noise was constant and I am a light sleeper. That said, I would still choose to stay here again due to the location and good accommodations. We walked from the sentinel to the entire area including the pittock mansion, hoyt arboretum, pearl district, Powell's book store, Saturday market. The hotel is very close to a stop for the MAX line from the airport so it was easy to get to. Eating: Tons of restaurants, bars, food carts (literally across the street), and even a whole foods in walking distance. Do your self a favor get food from Anna's Thai Basil, was so good!

I was really impressed by the room. The guest services had their patter down but also seemed sincerely friendly. The toilet was slightly busted in our room and it always took two flushes to clear completely.

The hotel has fantastic amenities but the service was lacking. They gave me the keys to the wrong car and charged 40 bux for parking.

This was a last minute priceline deal, but even then I managed to be disappointed. The Sentinel gets 4.5 stars from priceline, but I find that to be a stretch. The rooms are very small. So small that it appears they can't fit a single king in a room, as we had a queen, which is not really acceptable to me in a $200 a night room. The bed was comfy and the sheets were nice, but that's about where the compliments end. The bathroom was plain, with an old tub that was dirty with visible hair from a previous occupant. The drain was clogged and the tile was grungy (although, in fairness, it appears original and very old). Jake's Grill was nice, and the drinks were solid, but Jackknife, the attached bar, was an annoying fist pumping bro fest that made navigating the lobby difficult without catching an elbow from a drunk guy. I feel obligated to note that the staff was top notch. They were patient and attentive and quick when I requested things. I'm just so underwhelmed by the amenities and cleanliness of this "boutique" hotel, that I can't muster up even 3 stars. I'd choose a Courtyard or Holiday Inn Express over this place any day, likely at substantial savings.

Cool historic feel. Nice bar/lounge attached to hotel with happy hour 3-6. Rooms felt like a luxury home style room more so than a hotel - which was a nice change. You are also right beside the good truck zone with 50+ food truck options available for lunch. Hotel was a bit pricey given rooms are on the smaller size. Also they only offer valet parking at an unreasonable $40 a night, no thanks. Go to the smart park at Yamil and 10th for about $13 per 24 hours (no in and out)

Stayed here in mid July for 2 nights for work and was surprised as I never considered Sentinel to be a nice hotel. The staff and the rooms were on par with all the luxury hotels I've stayed in. Service was impeccable. The 24 hour small gym with free water and fruit was a nice touch too for an east coaster that would be up at 4am.

Loved the style of the Sentinel hotel. Classic architecture and very helpful staff. Attended a wedding there and it was lovely.
