There have been several exciting changes at the restaurant recently. Chef Cyril Cocconi has devised a range of delicious meat and vegetarian platters. These dishes are perfect for sharing and have been designed with the intention of making VOGUE Lounge a prime dining destination.
Also new to the venue is mixologist Francesco Moretti, whose creativity will take unique drinks at VOGUE Lounge to an even higher level.

To Miss Sririta Jensen, an all-round therapy for wellbeing should include all five senses. That’s why she has introduced dining experience at Organika House to satisfy people like us, the Gourmet Bangkok team, who believe the sense of taste is an ultimate elixir to restore good moods. Organika House has already been receiving plausible reviews and compliments for their afternoon tea. Now, dinner is also introduced at Organika House. The dedication to using only natural and organic ingredients in the cuisine at Organika House is evidenced and experienced. From the drink menu to dessert, organic produce is carefully sourced to reiterate the belief of Organika House in natural therapy. We were thrilled to have been invited to experience an exclusive dinner, Taste of Scents, at Organika House. Despite the exclusive dinner menu, we tried Organika’s unique cocktails and hearty serving of delicious dessert.

When I asked Chef Dallas how he experimented and designed his dishes, he casually replied that he ‘imagined the taste and visualized the dish in his mind’. Most of the time, no process of trials and errors was required. Stunned. At that moment, I thought ‘Wow! You are not just talented! You are a genius, who was born to be a chef!’ What I thought proved to be very true. Once you know how fast Chef Dallas has risen from an apprentice to a chef partner of an international hospital group, you will understand why I call him a genius.

We highly recommend you to try the tasting menu – A Taste of Freebird. If you are indecisive in choosing dishes, you can totally leave this task to Chef Dallas. For me, I always enjoy spontaneous surprises, I am very happy to be liberated from the traditional order-taking process and fully rely on Chef Dallas’s professional mix-and-match dish choices for my dinner. To further perfect your dining experience, try also their Sommakase menu for wine-pairing recommendation by the sommelier.

Medinii at The Continent Hotel has recently been selected as one of the continent winners of 2016 World Luxury Restaurant Awards. This is the main reason why I visited Medinii for the Sunday brunch. On the day of my visit, Medinii was full with diners who came for the authentic Italian cuisine served at the restaurant. The Sunday brunch at Medinii is not expensive at all. At only THB 599++/person, diners can enjoy quality hot dishes, desserts, salad, cheese and cold cuts as well as made-to-order pasta and pizzas.

I visited Tapas Y Vino at Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit Hotel. I quite like the name of the restaurant - Tapas Y Vino. It tells what this restaurant serves straightforwardly. Tapas and wine are what you can find at Tapas Y Vino. Under the stewardship of Chef Pedro Carrillo, the a la carte menu has been re-crafted to highlight some Spanish cuisine favourites.
Not sure what to order? Try their "Taste of Spain' set menu! It's available every day from 6pm to 11pm. This set menu is designed by Executive Chef Pedro for 2 persons at 1,700++. It includes four tapas, choice of paella or other main course, churros, and either one pitcher of Sangria or one bottle of house wine. Indeed, this deal is quite tempting.

At the invitation of JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, I attended their interactive event – Who’s Diane?, an interactive event that allowed us to learn how to prepare a Steak Diane with their newly hired Executive Chef – Kevin Thomson. We were also lucky enough to have tried the new dessert to be introduced at New York Steakhouse – peanut butter chocolate brittle!
