Something every entrepreneur and/or building owner should think about: do I want a costly lawsuit or insurance claim to deal with because I didn't put sand down in my parking lot?

Selling the kids won't help, and in all likelihood, selling clothes to kids won't help either (unless you're +Old Navy ), but selling the kids' clothes that are no longer required can put some extra cash in your jeans. Check it out!

President of First Foundation Mortgages and Insurance. Proud husband and father of four.
Introduction
I'd probably introduce myself by saying, "Hi, I'm Gord." If someone asked me where I'm from, I'd tell them I was born and raised in Saskatoon, but left after high school to chase opportunity in Alberta. I'm a U of A School of Business Grad and have been an entrepreneur my entire working life.

I work pretty hard because I really enjoy it. President of a great little company full of great people - First Foundation Mortgages and Insurance in Edmonton, and providing service throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.

We've won some awards and have lots of happy clients, but we're not perfect either...so every day is a challenge to improve and to grow.

You might catch me talking about sports, technology, and cars when I'm not working on the business or spending time with my family.

We required a complete roof replacement after a big hailstorm in August of 2012. Jensen was recommended by our insurance company at the time and, after doing some research and seeing many positive reviews for it, we chose them. The work was done quickly, with a minimal disruption, and the work was done well. The shingles look great, they helped us to pick a colour that would suit our home and have answered questions on a number of occasions over the phone. Highly recommended and very happy with the service and the new roof.

As a company we refer our mortgage clients to BungoBox Edmonton because we believe in the product and the benefits to our customers. It's always an easy referral to make because we know they'll be well taken care of.

Synergy Medical advertises on their website and signage that they are open for walk-in patients Saturday from 9am-4pm. Unfortunately this appears to not be the case. I arrived at 8:45am this morning, a Saturday, and waited until nearly 9:30 before myself, my two sick kids, and about ten other people who were waiting gave up. It's shameful that anyone in the medical profession can advertise certain hours and leave people who are relying on them in the lurch. Not showing up should NOT be an option. Very disappointed in the lack of service and lack of professionalism. There wasn't even a notice on the office voicemail. Despite the fact that NOBODY showed up, a call to the office indicated that they were "experiencing higher than normal call volume" which was the reason for the long wait on hold. This is shameful, a major fail, and one more example of how us Canadians have equal access to the same crappy care. Now I'm sitting at the only other walk-in clinic in Sherwood Park and it looks like it'll be an hour wait just to talk to the receptionist...let alone see a doctor. There are about 30 people sitting in here and one doctor on duty. #fail.
