New book by Paul Roetzer should be of keen interest to anyone who owns an agency or is considering a startup. He offers some great insights. http://www.gordcollins.com/marketing/the-marketing-agency-blueprint-how-to-build-a-powerful-hybrid-agency/

Well, my issues with this 6 month winter are just about over. Be mountain biking soon so everything will be good again -- just a bad memory. But, it doesn't hurt to think about equanimity - the state of balance. Have to read this more often and perhaps take time to apply the principles. It all takes so much time!

Sometimes balancing looks a lot like balancing rocks on their edges. I saw this guy (Bill Dan) do this. He likes to go down to the rocky shoreline in Sausalito California, and pile those rocks up on edge. He's half native Indian. Maybe they pass this skill down??

Hot Businesses  Oh ya, everybody wants to know what will be the next big thing. Well, I don't think you can lose with supplements and organic food. Prices are coming down and those over 40 years old can't get enough of this stuff. It's a sure thing and Nature's Emporium is a good case to study.  Check this post out: http://gordcollins.com/blog/natures-emporium-organic-food-supplements/

What do you think of the business or job prospects in Calgary? Do you think it's risky to move there or launch a business? One expert says the bottom is about fall out of the oil market. With wars in Nigeria and OPEC, i don't see how that could happen. This is definitely a volatile time and the real estate market is pretty hot there.

Calgary stirs the entrepreneur's dreams, but with a low loonie, Ontario might just be facing boom times too.   http://gordcollins.com/blog/the-oil-rich-west-looking-strong-for-years/   #calgary #realestate #economy
