From the MI House Republicans blog: "Michigan’s turnaround by the numbers" http://ow.ly/D7n1O
Michigan’s recovery is becoming more obvious each day, and today is no different. The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) recently released its September jobs report, and our state’s unemployment rate has decreased once again; this time to 7.2 percent. The new unemployment rate is the lowest Michigan has seen since March 2008. Michigan’s turnaround can be seen in...

Republicans have invested $870 million of existing state resources into Michigan's roads and bridges compared to the $0 during the Lost Decade: http://ow.ly/CyvnI
We’ve said it before, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth saying again — Michigan is on the road to a brighter future. Only a few years ago, Michigan was experiencing one of its worst economic climates in history. Back then, jobs were disappearing, our population was declining and a belief in a better Michigan...

It's a new fiscal year in MI and no one has noticed. What an improvement over the drama of the Lost Decade! http://ow.ly/Ca2e8
It’s October 1. That’s the first day of the new fiscal year in Michigan. That means the state budget year for 2014-15 is now underway, and no one seems to have noticed. The media isn’t inundating its readers, listeners and viewers with stories about the state budget, negotiations, partisan divides or a government being shut...

From The Detroit News: "Of all the criticisms that gubernatorial candidate Mark Schauer slung against Gov. Rick Snyder at Sunday night's town hall, the claim Snyder slashed education funding irked the governor the most. That's probably because it's not true. Overall K-12 funding has increased each year during Snyder's first term." http://ow.ly/CJ0RB
Despite claims to the contrary, overall public school spending has risen

From the MI House GOP blog: "The reality is that a 100-percent tax exemption was ended for those with government pensions, leveling the playing field with their neighbors who are using 401K plans for their retirement." http://gophouse.org/?p=28551
For many years, income in Michigan was taxed differently for different age groups and different sources. Starting in 2011, that all changed when fairness was brought to the state’s income tax code and all senior citizens were treated equally, regardless of their source of income. It’s all laid out visually for reference in the graphic...

I am against the RTW law & the repealing of the prevailing wage law, as a citizen of Michigan I demand to be represented & expect you to look out for the welfare of your constituents. Your actions to repeal this law will only hurt Michigan families. Who do you work for & who lined your pockets??????????????????????????????
