A toroidal vortex, also called a vortex ring, is a region of rotating fluid moving through the same or different fluid where the flow pattern takes on a toroidal (doughnut) shape.

Who produces a toroidal vortex?

I had no idea dolphins and whales could do that. Amazing.
I love Vortex Fluid Mechanics
Cool! I used to blow smoke rings when I smoked a cigars but I never knew what was happening. Neat!
Try punching water under water. You are doing the same thing.
Beautiful!! Never seen this before now

For the record LOL is noty a proper comment for this scientific discovery. Furthermore, isn't it caused by the tail of the dolphin shooting downward and creating a vacuum to where the water will go and also create a vortex?
Video worth watching talks about the energy potential of harnessing the toroidal design, is a little cheesy at first but worth your time:
That vidio is so awsom... can't wait to show my son when he gets home from school. He is going to love it.... thanks for shareing!
are you only just seein this i watched it 4 times

This is why I want a pet dolphin.
Awesome. When I saw the bomb I realised it was real
this vortex reminds me of school. it forever keeps spinning and going in circles.
Love the dolphins' control of these things. Totally crazy.
I think it is becoming obvious we won't learn how to communicate with aliens beings until we learn how to communicate with our own cetaceous friends first. They are oozing intelligence in this video.
so they like to play games.....

Role of The circle................
Its awesome. Thank you for sharing this video.
wow its bubbuly,jelly and cool
impresionante!!! los delfines se fabrican sus propios juguetes!!! basta de encerrarlos por favor!!!
QED-Richard Feynman - Quantum Electrodynamics - great read,"light behaves unpredictably like a wafting smell".Just like the toroid rings interacting with each other then breaking up,very interesting.Could this be the true model of lights behavior?
