Sinawali is the double-cane method of fighting of Arnis, which is Philippines'l martial art. Sinawali comes from the Tagalog word “sawali,” which refers to the woven split bamboo mats used in nipa huts. The crisscrossing movements of Sinawali are similar to the pattern of these mats.
