Soar through 3D cities in Google Earth for mobile.
Today we are very excited to announce a new way to explore in Google Earth for mobile. We've added full metropolitan areas in 3D in the latest release of Google Earth for Android (, with an update for iOS coming in the next few days.

Initially this new imagery will be available in Boulder, Boston, Santa Cruz, San Diego, Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Antonio, Charlotte, Tucson, Lawrence, Portland, Tampa, Rome or the San Francisco Bay Area (including the Peninsula and East Bay). We will be adding new cities over the coming weeks and months and aim to have new 3D coverage for metropolitan areas with a combined population of 300 million people by the end of the year. Get a sneak peak at these new cityscapes in our new Google+ album:

Why is there no way to use Google Map Offline in Spain or Portugal?? The lab extension worked perfectly.
This is pretty nifty. :-) It seems like parts of Seattle are already done.
Feels like I'm playing "Black & White", moving across the land.
Really cool. Can't wait until more non US cities show up.
I updated Earth but I don't see it, there's nowhere to switch it on, even in layers. Does it work on phones w. Android 4?
