Introducing Commonly Used Metrics and Dimensions

When it comes to your data and how you analyze it, no update is a small one. We want to speed your analysis and get you to the answers you seek quickly. With that in mind, we’re introducing a small update with the launch of Commonly Used Metrics and Dimensions in Google Analytics reporting.

Now, at the top of every metric/dimension list (for example as a secondary dimension or in custom reports dimension and metric drilldowns), you’ll see a new category called ‘Commonly Used’. When you start searching for a common dimension, for example, Page, it will surface at the top of the list under ‘Commonly Used’, instead of being hidden in a long list of other similarly titled dimensions. You can also click on the ‘Commonly Used’ header to see the choices made readily available.

We hope this small change brightens your day as much as it does ours.
