Four months. This is the span of time that one can reasonably expect to take in order to cancel a membership at Gold's gym of Charlotte. During that time, Gold's will tell to send the certified mail to ABC financial and ABC will tell you to mail certified to Gold's gym. Susan will confirm that your membership has been cancelled on multiple occasions, only so you can find out later that it has not been. My recommendation to everyone is to mail your certified mail months in advance with the future cancellation date and immediately file a copy of the receipt and it's backup with your card provider. Take a copy of the letter and the receipt to Susan at epicenter and ask her to set the cancellation while you are there. Don't trust her word on it. You will need to sign a few things in regards to cancelling. No signatures; no cancellation. You will find responses via email and telephone are non existent. These people have every reason not to respond to you. Don't give them the benefit of a doubt. They will cheat you and use the system against you. Finally, the Y down the road offers the same services on a sliding income scale. Go give them or another competitor a look and I'm sure you will have a much better experience.

Amazing health and fitness club! Tons of amenities, world class group fitness classes, very friendly staff, cleanliness is utmost importance and the members make this club the best in town! Highly recommend joining!!

Been a member of different gyms and other golds, I will say this is the king of all gyms!!! When I got hospitalized in the hospital for six weeks, they worked with me and put my membership on pause for 6 months while I had to move back home to charleston temporarily because of the aftermath of my sickness. The staff here are excellent and care about their clients including Ms. Susan and Dave. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dont let the view and upscale equiment fool you. This place has poor customer service made me reconsider of joining. He told me "are you really interested in joining or you just need something to do??" Was so disrespectful and wouldnt recommend it save your money

Terrible management and rude they get caught in their lies and just hang up or plain out lye and just cover themselves. Also if you try to cancel your membership you'll get the run around. I'm going to the YMCA

It was time to join a gym. I researched my local options and decided on Gold's Gym Epicenter. The facilities are great and the staff has been amazing.

Elite gym? Ha. Well their "management" certainly believes it and you are probably not on that level in their eyes. I agree with one of the previous reviewers about the management's weirdly bad demeanor. I have been a member of this gym for a few months now definitely paying an "elite" membership fee of around $100 and had mixed feelings about it until last week when I received a rare treat - an interaction with one of the "managers" in this place, a joker called David Carnes. So I was in the boxing room relaxing after my workout and using the speed punching bag when this guy stormed in with a very strong and abrasive "aha, I got you now punk" attitude as if he had caught me naked taking a giant crap in the middle of the floor. Apparently, I was being too loud and not using the punching back "correctly" and he had replaced it before (I am glad he didn't go as far as to blame me for that, although wouldn't be surprised). So ok, maybe I was too loud, it most certainly was not on purpose. I gladly stopped but the issue was this guy's attitude and our conversation. There was no excuse me or anything. This guy talked to me as if he owns me. To his surpise I tried having a normal conversation about this bc I didn't think I had committed a heinous crime. I tried to explain myself and ask what his "expert" opinion is of how to correctly use the bag without making much noise etc. but he continued with his tone saying stuff like "I don't care" (what you say) etc. I don't remember the last time when anyone allowed themselves to talk down to me like that and frankly I am pissed off at myself for being civil about it and letting this guy do that, even if I wasn't a client. I was really caught off guard by the sheer rudeness of this simpleton. I look forward to our next interaction for sure. Anyway, if this is the "manager" of this place, imagine dealing with him if you have an issue and what else could be wrong at this place...

Love this gym! Great facility with a great staff. Also, the parking is easy and FREE for 2 hours.
