Office 365 users will be able to prevent meeting attendees from forwarding invitations. This one will roll out on the web first, followed by the Outlook desktop client.

#Outlook #Office365

From Microsoft's notes: Meeting organizers will have the option to prevent attendees from forwarding a meeting invitation. This option will be available only for users in Office 365. In the first release, the option to prevent forwarding will only be available when creating or editing meetings in Outlook on the web, but the option will become available in Outlook for Windows shortly after.

Happy to see this is now the default behaviour.

From Microsoft's notes: We received feedback from our customers that in some cases users were missing the emails sent to groups that they were members of, now, when new Office 365 groups are created from Outlook, the default subscription option will be set to receiving all group email in the Inbox for group members. Previously, this was set to not subscribed.
This feature is available in Outlook on the web, and rolling out across Outlook.
Group owners and members can change this setting at any time.

If you have Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection you can now enable Safe Links for internal emails. This will help protect users from malicious links being sent within the organization.

This update resolves an issue which prevented large meeting invites from being updated. Now when a meeting receives over 400 attendees, it stops tracking individual responses. Later, responses will be tracked in a separate property.

#Outlook #Office365

From Microsoft's notes: Office 365 allows up to 500 recipients on an email message or meeting invitation. However, if a meeting organizer sent an invitation to a distribution list (counted as only 1 recipient), attendees were added as individual recipients when they responded. So after more than 500 attendees responded, the meeting organizer could no longer update the meeting because there were now more than 500 recipients. We have made a first step in fixing this issue by no longer tracking individual responses (and therefore adding recipients) once there are 400 recipients. In a future update, we'll track meeting responses in a separate property and use that when displaying attendee responses in Outlook.

The new enhanced anti-spoof capabilities analyse historical patterns of a senders infrastructure plus SPF, DMARC and DKIM for a senders domain to determine whether theyre reputable. These checks could catch out some reputable senders, but if it encourages the implementation of correct SPF/DKIM/DMARC configs, its a good move.

#Exchange #Office365 #Microsoft365

From Microsoft's notes: 1. New advanced learning and intelligence will be applied on top of standard email authentication standards (SPF, DMARC, DKIM) validation to infer authentication status for domains based on their sending infrastructure properties. and reject If a message fails our implicit authentication, it is marked as junk. 2. Admins can use policies to customize the actions and additionally block or allow specific senders based on their authentication status.

These roadmap updates were added and launched on the same day. If Exchange Online Protection or Exchange Advanced Threat Protection quarantine a message, these new UI changes will help you filter, download and release them.

#ExchangeOnline #Office365 #Microsoft365

2. Email in Quarantine -- ability for admin to download the email and/or release the email to other recipients (e.g. admin release). These are available via Powershell today and we will expose these in the UX
