2016 Easter Road Safety Summary <<http://ow.ly/ZSDpY>>
Take care on the roads this Easter. If you plan to drink or take drugs, plan not to drive. Be patient, keep under the limit and drive for the conditions. Wear your seatbelt and make sure your passengers are strapped in too. If you ride a motorcycle, make sure you wear your helmet and other safety gear. Take breaks, and don’t drive if you are tired. Put the mobile phone away, or, if you must use it, make sure you do so within the confines of the law. Obey the road rules, and show some respect for other road users. If, though, you do find yourself on the wrong end of a traffic offence, give us a call on 1300 636 846. Our phone lawyers are available from 7am to midnight, 7 days a week. Alternatively, you can request a callback from our website at gotocourt.com.au.

Fraud in Victoria and Crimes of Deception

Fraud in Victoria includes a number of offences which involve deception, including the offence of obtaining property by deception. Obtaining property by deception is covered under section 81 of the Crimes Act 1958 (VIC) which states that it is a crime for a person to act deceptively and with dishonesty obtaining or acquiring any property which belongs to someone else. The offence requires an intention to permanently deprive the rightful owner of the property.

Capital Gains Tax

There are some exceptions from what constitutes a Capital Gains Tax asset. A loss or gain made when a person disposes of their main residence is exempt from CGT. A main residence is the address at which a person lives for most of the time. This allows people to buy and sell their own home without being subject to tax implications.

Intellectual property created during employment
The general rule is that any intellectual property created during employment is owned by the employer. This rule is found under section 35(6) of the Copyright Act. For something created during employment to be copyrightable and owned by the employer, the following must be satisfied: The creator is an employee; and The intellectual property was created during employment. It is important for both employees and employers to know who owns intellectual property created during employment.

Did you know that you'll now lose 8 points if you're caught illegally using your mobile phone this Easter long weekend? That's over half your licence!

Let them wait, don't risk the eight.

Your firm is horrendous. The lawyers are inexperienced and they overcharge. The so-called phone solicitors are a joke. They lie. They made me pay good money when they must have known there was no point in booking in an appointment. I'll be sure to tell everyone to avoid. Almost would go as far as to say the firm is a scam! Hopeless. I bet this doesn't appear on the reviews online!!! BTW, the one start is only so I could post this. It would let me post with 0 stars.
