They had the "Baba Yaga" evening on 31/05/2017. Baba Yaga is a female supernatural figure (a witch) in the Slavic folklore that flies around on a broomstick and does all sort of naughty things to unsuspecting males and children.

Ladies new to the WWGC get inducted to the Baba Yaga sisterhood by performing some interesting ceremonies as can be seen on the video.

The Baba Yaga tradition at the WWGC goes back to the first women world comps held in the 1970' in Leszno, Poland. I remember that it was a mono type competition, all pilots flying the Pirat gliders. Australia was represented by Susan Martin.
