Anyone who gives this place a bad review is off-base. I simply cannot imagine it! Clean, quaint, and classic... It is the most serene and relaxing scene you can imagine. If you are looking for facilities to swim, hottub and hang out in some loud lobby... this is not the place for you.. This place is about relaxation, and a good night's sleep..

Do not waste your time with this place. Staff seems inexperience and not willing to go the extra mile. We had several of us staying in this hotel, reserving a total of 3 rooms. Upon arrival at 3pm we asked if we could check in, we were told by James the concierge check in wasn’t until 4pm and that none of the rooms were clean yet; which was odd since on our way in we say several maids hanging around outside smoking. We finally checked in, & the rooms were adequate at best. Upon check out, we noticed that we had been charged a $10 fee for a cot that we had utilized. However, while we had only needed one cot in one room; we were charged the additional $10 for all the rooms for a total of $30. After going back and forth with the lady a the front desk, she agreed to make the correction. On our way out, we once again saw the maids standing around outside smoking. Finally Leary, the special events coordinator; seems super nice, but good luck getting him to follow up on anything. If you’re looking to plan a wedding, try Gervasi Winery in Akron, much more beautiful setting and a much more pleasant and professional staff to work with!!

Don't trust your reservation. We called the Glidden House on June 1, 2013 at 4am Denver time to make a reservation by telephone for our daughter's May 2014 graduation. Hotel took the credit card information and confirmed the reservation. Three hours later, went back online to verify it, and there was no record of the reservation and the hotel was now fully booked for graduation weekend. Very disappointing.

The coordinator is only available for wedding tours M-F 9-3pm. Working professionals cannot coordinate with that type of schedule.
