My latest post – Analyzing The Google Update That Started On April 29, 2015

Yes, it looked very similar to Phantom 1 from May 8, 2013. I dug into sites heavily impacted by the update starting at the end of April. Based on my analysis, it looked to be focused heavily on content quality. Check out my post to learn more.
On May 8, 2013, I began receiving emails from webmasters that saw significant drops in Google organic traffic overnight.  I’m not talking about small dro

Thought it was hard to compete with Amazon before? -> Amazon Prime now comes with free same-day delivery in some areas

That's huge, and if it expands, will make it even tougher to compete with. 2-day is awesome, same-day is killer. :)
Amazon is offering free same-day delivery for Prime members, dropping the $5.99 fee it usually charges for the service. Although the announcement is definitely another string to Prime's bow, it...

From the cnet article they mention -> "The free same-day service is available seven days a week in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Indianapolis, the Los Angeles metro area, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, the San Francisco Bay area, Seattle and Washington, DC, as well as San Diego and Tampa Bay, which previously didn't have the option for same-day deliveries through Amazon."

Google Showing Comparisons in Answer Boxes via +Jennifer Slegg #seo
Google appears to be ramping up their usage of comparison answer boxes in the last week or so, with more and more people reporting seeing them in action in the Google Search results. They seem to only appear for non-commercial queries.  But more importantly, they don’t seem to have a source cited like many answer …

Whoa, digging into this now. Lots of interesting info -> Twitter Introduces Audience Insights h/t +Rand Fishkin #wa

Includes buying habits (via Acxiom partnership), demographic info, mobile data, marital status, and more that might make you uneasy. :) Can definitely help you craft strong campaigns (which of course, is the purpose!)
Today we’re introducing a new tool to help advertisers better understand key audiences.

I found ~3 million low quality pages during a recent crawl analysis & audit. The site has been impacted by both Panda & Phantom. Eager for the company to nuke those pages...  They should have never been indexed. #seo

These red icons just popped up in G+ notifications. Never saw them before. Maybe tied to upcoming changes? cc: +Mark Traphagen

Watching a large brand implode SEO-wise as they go through a rebranding & redesign. They are hemorrhaging search equity as we speak. #seo

If SEOs saw what they are doing, their eyes would pop out of their heads. Kind of like the video below. :)

I've used K&H twice in the past year and I highly recommend their services. They were professional, knowledgeable, and extremely efficient. I dealt with both Rocco and John, who were a pleasure to work with. Their quality of work was extremely high, and you could tell they were passionate about what they do for a living. And I dig working with people that fit into that category. In a nutshell, I hated that my cars needed to be fixed, but I thoroughly enjoyed working with Rocco, John, and everyone else at K&H. I hope I don't need the help of a collision center in the future, but if I do, it'll be K&H. :)
