Throughout history there have been countless attempts to discourage new technologies only to protect other people's self-interests. Below are some of the most suppressed inventions ever.

This Insane Audi TT Has 600 HP And A Freaking Gated Manual
http://jalopnik.com/this-insane-audi-tt-has-600-hp-and-a-freaking-gated-man-1703080336
Every year, Volkswagen bequeaths a gift to a bunch of VW nuts in Austria. This year, the gift isn’t a Volkswagen at all. It’s an Audi. A 600-horsepower, electric-turbo’d, be-winged and be-vented Audi TT. And it looks like it’s going to eat your children.

Would You Pay $350k-$475k for an Audi Sport Quattro?
http://blog.caranddriver.com/would-you-pay-350k-475k-for-an-audi-sport-quattro/
In 1984, a road-legal car capable of a 4.8-second sprint to 60 mph that could also turn and stop, and was almost practical, sounded like vaporware to most people. It wasn’t: the Sport Quattro, a shortened and improved ur-Quattro, was that car. Not that many people knew about it—it was staggeringly expensive and had virtually […]

In his previous role at Audi, Heinz Hollerweger’s job was to come up with ideas and concepts that ventured far into the future. Since 2014, however, he has served as head of Audi’s Quattro GmbH performance division—a job that might seem more narrow, but one which actually holds fascinating challenges and opportunities of its own. We spoke […]

Confirmed: New Audi R8 Will Get a Turbo As Its Second Engine
http://blog.caranddriver.com/confirmed-new-audi-r8-will-get-a-turbo-as-its-second-engine/
The new, second-generation Audi R8 is launching with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V-10 as its sole engine offering, the previous entry-level 4.2-liter V-8 having been jettisoned from the lineup. Now Motoring is quoting two senior Audi executives as saying that the car will get a second engine offering, one that features turbocharged power. The ten-cylinder […]

I have an old (8 years) A4. I love the car and I especially love the service I have received at Glenmore Audi. I was just on the website to get their phone number and noticed allot of negative reviews, so was prompted to write. I am always talking about how the service at Glenmore is so good and that it makes owning an Audi so special. It certainly isn't because I change my car every year or that I have the top model and it's also not because I'm young and gorgeous! I'm really baffled by all the negative stuff.

I'm very dissapointed in Glenmore Audi's service. I've been there several times with my TT and although their service is not great, they are in a convenient location. However, I just called to schedule a service for my car but I was told that they have a "new policy" that they won't provide a loaner vehicle if your car is not under manufacture warranty. Great way to upset your existing customers and discourage them from ever coming back!! Luckily Royal Oak Audi didn't create this ridiculous policy (and their customer service has always been much better!) - I know where I'll be going and recommending my friends to go in the future!

For sales, see Steve Giles. He is their best salesperson. For parts, see Dave Fraser. He is their best.

Can't even write a review of the dealership yet as no one will answer the phone in the service department to book in for an Audi recall & oil change. Tried making an appointment online and it said it I could give me an appointment in 3 months! What the!? By the way, the online service department booking is a joke, as it is lists about 50 types of services but not a 50 000 km for an S4/A4.

Dealing with this dealership has been, hands down, the single worst experience of my life. The first thing to understand about these people is that, if you don't have a top-of-the-line model, you're nothing to them; in fact, you're worse than nothing and you'll be served accordingly. My personal experience was with a particularly oily crook named Brian Duggan. I came to these incompetents with my 2003 A4 Avant Quattro 3.0 because I had a power drain issue. First, they replaced the battery ($302), but that wasn't it and the next morning the car was dead. Next, Brian claimed that the alarm siren was waterlogged and quoted me $1,200 for a replacement. Being a graduate student, I asked for an alternative and so they removed the siren and bypassed its circuit ($588). As I was leaving the dealership, I noticed that the mechanic broke the built-in navi system. Moreover, not only did the car die the next morning, but, when I jump-started it, the fuel gauge was no longer working and the sound was coming out of the speakers incorrectly (they messed up reinstalling the sub and amp when they removed them for whatever reason). I gave up and told Brian to go ahead and replace the siren ($1074). They kept the car for another week (not fixing the issue with the stereo that they themselves had caused) and, sure enough, when I got the car back and tried starting it the next day, it was dead. You know what they say about liars, and these people have fooled me more than twice already. I will never set foot in this stealership as long as I live, and I would caution anyone seeking help with his car against going there.

I went into this place at about 11:30am. The one and only salesman that was on the floor at the time was busy, so I went and looked at all the vehicles on the floor. When the salesman was done with that client (maybe ten minutes later) he went into the back. So I continued to look at, quite literally, ALL the vehicles on the floor. I sat in them, checked out the back seats, truck, etc. All said and done, I was there for a half hour and not one person spoke to me. Only as I was literally walking out the door did someone even acknowledge my presence. Even going into the Ferrari dealership in town in jeans and a t-shirt, stating explicitly "Oh geez, just here to dream, can't buy one of these..." gets you better service. Since my Audi debacle, I've gone into several other dealerships (Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus, BMW, Ford, Chrysler, Volvo) and they've all treated me as a potential client within mere minutes of my arrival. Based on my experience, you'll just have a much better chance of being treated better anywhere else.

First experience with Glenmore Audi this weekend - Sam and the guys in the shop were a huge help. I popped in because the locknut for the used car i just bought was nearly stripped (and saturday was time for winter tires). Sam went over and above. He had a couple free minutes between appointments and threw the car on the hoist, and installed my winter tires for me. Also took the time to answer all the questions i had about my new car. Great service, saving me one of the last sunny afternoons of fall ... thanks guys.

Probably the worst service I've ever seen in a while. Walked into the dealership, stood around probably 10 minutes before a sales member came to assist us. They where busy chatting and standing around. You could see the sales person judged me on appearance. NO HELP!!! WASN'T EVEN IN THE MOOD TO HELP ME, he assumed I couldn't afford an Audi. This is an Audi thing I must say. I went and bought my Audi Q7 somewhere else. It just shows you how full of shit Glenmore Audi is because if they had real proper Sales Staff I would've bought my Audi there. Get rid of that "Oh you can't afford this so we won't help you attitude".
