"A million little gardeners,
Too small for you to see,
Are out tonight and watering
As busy as could be.

And all the daises in the field
Can see them go about,
And shut their little eyelids tight
To keep the water out.

They give the pansies such a bath;
And on the shaven green
Each blade is frosted pearly grey
But where my steps have been.

Hark to the honeysuckle flowers
And roses, red and white,
Thanking the fairy gardeners
For coming round tonight."
- Dew

On this day in 1306, Robert the Bruce was crowned King of Scots at Scone. Our "The Bruce" West Croft accommodation was named in his honor, and the luxurious decor of this golden retreat embodies "the romantic side of chivalry". http://www.glenlaurel.com/accommodations/the-bruce-west-croft

Jon & Lacey were married at Glenlaurel on 3/03/13, and came back for their first anniversary. They were nice enough to share their wedding video with us. This is is a beautiful example of an intimate Glenlaurel wedding for anyone looking to plan a Hocking Hills ceremony. Thanks, Jon & Lacey!

#didyeken Blood orange is a small orange with red flesh. The unique red color means it's high in antioxidants - and it's simply delicious. It's also the sorbet course in our amazing 6 course Spring Fling Escape menu on Thursday night! http://www.glenlaurel.com/about-us/blog/spring-fling-escape

Just returned from celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary at Glenlaurel. It was, once again, fantastic. The croft was relaxing and very private, with a hotub on the deck surrounded by trees. The grounds were immaculate, and the private hiking within Camusfearna Gorge never fails to amaze me. We had the 6-course dinner both nights and it was creative and delicious, as are the breakfasts. There is great attention to detail by the staff, and all of this results in a great romantic getaway.

Glenlaurel is a truly special place. I stayed there for two nights about a year ago. I hiked the trails, relaxed in my room and enjoyed two of the best gourmet lunches and dinners. Everyone at the Inn was so kind and accommodating. The only bad part of my trip was having to leave. If you're looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway, then this place is perfect!

We just celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary at Glenlaurel, and it was absolutely magical. Everything from the drive up to the Manor House, our cottage accommodations (we stayed in the MacLeod) , the amazing breakfast each morning, the seven course dinner on Saturday night, and the Sunday night bonfire while watching the sun set. And, as always, the service was over the top. We've commented with each stay at Glenlaurel, there's always the feeling of "coming home". We're already "homesick" and can't wait to return.

I loved the private hike and the grounds and the staff was willing to do anything to make your stay great. I really enjoyed the breakfast and how close its located to Columbus. Already planning our next trip back.

Glenlaurel blew away my expectations. This was my first experience in Hocking Hills and I was a little concerned because the location seemed isolated and was in a dry county. Well, it was actually nice to get away from any cell reception or connection with our daily lives. It was also nice to bring some special bottles of wine to cocktail hour and dinner and not pay a huge markup on them. We stayed in a croft, hiked around the gorge, played horseshoes, and met some other very nice guests. The food was outstanding and the croft we stayed in had everything we needed to get away from it all. What a wonderful trip! I can't wait to return.
