My wife and I just had an incredible weddingmoon at Glen Laurel. We absolutely loved it and the tranquility of the setting. The staff was great and cleared off different areas for us outside for photos for our wedding. The food was great and we will be returning again next year in a different season. If you are looking for a great quiet get away and unplug from everything, this is the place to go.

Glenlaurel is such a special place. We love the room - Campbell is our choice, the food, the hiking, and the before dinner get together. It is such a relaxing weekend get away. We strayed once and never again!

Glenlaurel is a truly special place. I stayed there for two nights about a year ago. I hiked the trails, relaxed in my room and enjoyed two of the best gourmet lunches and dinners. Everyone at the Inn was so kind and accommodating. The only bad part of my trip was having to leave. If you're looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway, then this place is perfect!

My wife and I have been enjoying romantic getaways for years and we rely heavily on Select Registry in deciding where we want to go. This year we chose the Glenlaurel Inn in Hocking Hills to take in the fall colors and do some hiking. Breakfast at the Glen can only be outdone by their 6 and 7 course meals in the evening. We enjoyed our stay and the accommodating staff so much we are considering spending a New Year's Eve there.

We just celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary at Glenlaurel, and it was absolutely magical. Everything from the drive up to the Manor House, our cottage accommodations (we stayed in the MacLeod) , the amazing breakfast each morning, the seven course dinner on Saturday night, and the Sunday night bonfire while watching the sun set. And, as always, the service was over the top. We've commented with each stay at Glenlaurel, there's always the feeling of "coming home". We're already "homesick" and can't wait to return.

I loved the private hike and the grounds and the staff was willing to do anything to make your stay great. I really enjoyed the breakfast and how close its located to Columbus. Already planning our next trip back.

Glenlaurel blew away my expectations. This was my first experience in Hocking Hills and I was a little concerned because the location seemed isolated and was in a dry county. Well, it was actually nice to get away from any cell reception or connection with our daily lives. It was also nice to bring some special bottles of wine to cocktail hour and dinner and not pay a huge markup on them. We stayed in a croft, hiked around the gorge, played horseshoes, and met some other very nice guests. The food was outstanding and the croft we stayed in had everything we needed to get away from it all. What a wonderful trip! I can't wait to return.

On this day in 1758, Scottish architect & painter Alexander Nasmyth was born. His "A View of Tantallon Castle" depicts the East Lothian fortress above a stormy sea. Doesn't it make you long to hie to the highlands?
