New Inverness brewery plans submitted to Highland Council

An impression of what the brewery on Ness Bank would have looked like from the previous application
FRESH plans for a micro brewery in Inverness have been submitted one year after Highland councillors rejected a similar proposal because of parking concerns.
Glen Mhor Hotel owners Victoria and Jon Erasmus hope to turn an existing public bar in Ness Bank into a multi-million pound brewery and visitor attraction.
Councillors will be asked at a meeting on Tuesday to agree with planning officials' recommendation that the new application should be approved.
Last year's proposal was also recommended for approval and despite backing from Highland and Island Enterprise, Inverness Bid and Inverness Chamber of Commerce, planning committee councillors rejected it.
Mr Erasmus said comments made by councillors last year had been taken on board and all the major points had been addressed.
"We are hopeful this wonderful project can get underway in earnest," he said. "We have secured approval for the scehem from all the relevant areas, including environmental, transport, flooding, historical and local planning."
